Yeah you can't really make money like that... they don't really pop that much...
2023-11-07 21:06:19
borkos007, please give it a rest. You've already shared all your knowledge, and in my opinion, everyone has enough material for their analysis. I think we've all had enough of this argument on the forum.
2023-11-07 21:14:13
That's all from me, I simply think it's bad for less experienced users if they read what he wrote and think that it is true. He obviously doesn't understand the game and how to train and improve properly, so I wanted to clarify these "they don't pop that much", "you can't really make millions" etc. statements from him.

You're obviously doing good job and you know how to train youths, maybe it would be a good idea to open a thread with general advice on how to improve young players, which players are worth training etc. It might help because it seems that there are many clubs that have more potential to give for the NTs if pointed into right direction.

Your first post on the English forum was similar. Straight at me. Similar words, I don't understand the game, my team is rubbish and all that. You do the same with others on all the other forums you get involved. And always bring up your achievements. Which at the moment show you're not doing well at all. And you haven't been doing well for a long time.
Less experienced users don't have to think it's true or not. I speak about my experience. I never kept old players in my team. I trained players from academy and players I bought for peanuts. I never bought a player for more than 7 figures, in fact not even more than 3 mil (I think). I managed to get to 60 ratings and keep myself around there. You're right, I don't seem to get past this. It's a combination of factors I mentioned a few times. Plus the fact I don't have time to spend on the transfer market as others do. I'm not fussed, it's just a game and I am in a nice position that will probably carry on being comfortable for a few more seasons even after I shift my 29-30 years old players. I have some coming from behind and I will bring more and train them to keep me at this level.
All this time I watched teams that used to mop the floor with me and playing at top level crushing down through the leagues. Doing something similar to what you recommend. Hence, I wouldn't tell anyone to follow your model and instead I will recommend playing the game safe and steady. Gradual progress and (providing time and luck allows) push whenever it's possible. I wouldn't tell a new user to go for the big bucks and risk everything on some assumption that players will pop like mad and millions will soon pour in. Because, guess what?, most of the users don't have this experience even after 20 seasons played on here. Not even you, as much as you think you do. Your team is in a mess at the moment. The reason you can't be bothered with the game anymore is exactly this: you failed.
Please, grow up, stop telling people not to follow my advice because I don't understand the game and I don't know how to train. Bring your arguments but don't dismiss the experience of others. Once again, my experience is similar to almost 90% of users on here. And do me a favor, don't think for a second you're part of the successful 10%. You're not and the proof is easy to find, it only takes a click on your name and the mess your team is in comes up straight away.

ANFIELD LFC - RTS Widzew Łódz 1:1 in my first season after a long break in the junior division II league. Currently, my young players are in 9th place :)
2023-11-07 22:20:59
I haven’t had a team in the youth leagues for a very long time, does it help?
2023-11-07 22:21:49
wdp74, why don't you have a junior team! ;)
2023-11-07 22:22:23
Trivial amount of revenue, that aside, waste of time.
2023-11-07 22:24:20
I have no idea if having a youth team helps. I just created it for fun.

A lot of the time I don’t have enough players to field 11 players……I tend to only keep the ones who can be worthwhile. I am guessing the trivial revenue from gates is offset by the extra money for the week per junior?

Less experienced users don't have to think it's true or not. I speak about my experience.

Your experience is of a team that was weak 6 seasons ago and is still exactly as weak after 6 seasons. Zero improvement, no changes, same budget, no promising youths. You keep doing same things and expect a different result - and you want others to do what you do. Why would they do that?

Which at the moment show you're not doing well at all. And you haven't been doing well for a long time.

I'm doing perfectly fine, it's the ideal place for my team while inactive in terms of income (sponsors, tickets) and money spent (team strenght needed) - my season budget without transfers is around +16/+20m zloty [+4/+5m euro]

Going up would be a waste of money unless I went for 80+ team and trophy hunt (which I don't want to do)
Going down would mean losing money that I can easily get from sponsors/tickets

Your team is in a mess at the moment

My team is doing well against teams playing for 60+

Average marks:
67.7 Hellboys
65.3 KS Przymorze Wielkie
65.2 Pride Troopers
64.5 LKS Zatory
62.9 GB Packers
62.8 Legia Warszawa
61.8 AKS Akacjowa
59.8 KS ZOPOCIE DW
59.2 dlakasperka
Laguna Adamów
57.8 The Evil`s
57.5 RTS JUVE

I'm in top half of table, previous season ended at 2nd
My team is losing/drawing mostly because I train 16-21yo players in every game - and that's why I don't want to go up, it would be harder to train 16-18yo players

I don't really care about the results, there's no difference for me whether I play in 2nd or 4th league. What I care about are my youths - worth in total around 380m zloty / 95m euro. Only the youths, not counting the 24+ players, not counting the account (that's another 600m+ zloty / 120m+ euro). If I wanted, in one week I could have one of the strongest teams in the game.

Indeed, what a mess my club is... the fact that you actually think that I have any kind of problem with my team shows how little you know about this game, sorry.

The reason you can't be bothered with the game anymore is exactly this: you failed.
And do me a favor, don't think for a second you're part of the successful 10%. You're not and the proof is easy to find, it only takes a click on your name and the mess your team is in comes up straight away.

Yes, I failed by winning 2 consecutive championships in Poland (first one unbeaten whole season, only 1 draw) + 2 consecutive Polish cups + achieving Champions Cup final + winning both u21 World Cup and senior World Cup, and then I sold out my team and kept it pretty much inactive.

What a failure! :-)))

I think you kept your team inactive for as long as I did., I would like to know how long I just maintained the youth school but I can’t see easily. I did enjoy being back for a while but I’m not a fan of the new format especially the shorter seasons.
2023-11-07 22:46:45
I used to be able to score slam dunks in 2015.
2023-11-07 22:52:01
I went inactive at the end of 2015 and just trained mostly my youth players. I came back "on" in early 2022 with new owners, went to 3rd league but by then the hype about changes disappeared and I lost my interest again, so I went back into only training mode.

I like the new training, the 12-team league is also fine with me. I don't even see the harm in "weakening" top players, because IMO it was quite boring at the top where most players looked identical, with everyone having 1-3 3x superdivine ATTs, with 5x magical - 5x unearthly MIDs etc.

But I don't really feel the need for competing anymore. Maybe in a couple of seasons I will use the money and just go for it to try to win the Champions Cup, but for now I don't see it happening.

I'm looking at a Bugatti, I might buy it. But not right now, I can't be bothered.
