Onderwerp: »7170 managers in Sokker!

Then again, how do you think it goes irl? No way a freshly starting team can compete against a big team for championship...

ever heard of RB Leipzig?

in real life you can bring your own money to the table
if you're a billionaire you can make a highly successful and competitive club in a matter of years
you can even buy a license to start in 3rd or 2nd league

there's nothing in common here
2017-10-15 14:28:53
Do you really think that is how it should go?? Those teams break the football they way it used to be. Ultra rich emirates, billionaires, who buy teams, players like there popstickles... What's next, let's buy the championship? The cup goes to the most generous team?? Bullshit imo...

I didn't write a single word how it 'should be' in my opinion. I simply stated how it actually works in real life. And how it worked since at least 40 years. You have the money, you play at the top. Simple as that.

money talks..

about half of users logs 0 times/1 time

there's no sense in this game for new users, the difference in skil level/money gathere by top 100 in a country and a new user is so vast, that the new user has 0.0000001% to achieve anything in nearest 3-30 years, depending on country

But you don't realise this after with only one login. So it's not the main reason why no new users stay.

That's true. I didn't read back the entire history ot this thread but I am still convinced that getting the current game tablet/phone ready should be priority no.1
That could also be combined with paid plus-options.

Of course not

the main problem is and always was that the layout was outdated and the design was simply stupid [tactics link in training section etc.]

@JimGoose
Not really, people don't play such games on tablets/phones...they play fast-paced games, sokker is a strictly browser game...

All I can say is that I would spend more time playing this game if a tablet interface would be available.

Noone said anything about just joining and competing for the championship. It's that in the current system, it's impossible to EVER compete for the championship.

It should not take the equivalent of 3-4 real years to MAYBE have a shot in the smaller nations. This is asking too much commitment from new players and really detracts from actually playing (after all, why start a game in which you know you have no shot at being one of the best. Most other games you will never likely be one of the best, but there is still a chance).

And although, as was stated earlier, this is not the reason for single logon players leaving, it certainly stops ex players coming back (who have proven to be committed to the game) and will likely stop a lot of 2-12mth players from continuing on.

That's why I suggested these improvements for new or returning managers... Make the starting team more attractive...
At the moment they have only players and coaches you immediately need to sack... Why are they in there then? It's only a stupid tutorial on how to sack people from your team...
And with that, imo playmaking is a skill that will only deteriorate with blindness, amnesia or death...
Make it possible to retire players and make coaches out of them, depending on their playmaking skill for example.
Make stamina a full skill up to superdivine and make that skill to be the one that makes the other (physical and technical) skills work better. So many things and ideas to explore, but no one to execute them...

This is exactly it. Of all the games I have played in the past, the two with the most potential (sokker being one), both had very inactive owners/developers, who instead of trying to make it better and better, chose to sit back, not improve and just try to make passive money off it. Oh and the first game, site got shot down many years ago after a downward spiral where they lost 95% or more of its player base when they turned it from a free to play but could become a member for extra perks, to a pay to play only with the exception of a 2 week trial

+1

So many good ideas, nothing is used to improve Sokker except for a few ideas a long time ago:

It's pointless, out of 100 new users maybe 5 play for longer than a month

about half of users logs 0 times/1 time

there's no sense in this game for new users, the difference in skil level/money gathere by top 100 in a country and a new user is so vast, that the new user has 0.0000001% to achieve anything in nearest 3-30 years, depending on country

Then tell me how AC Canegrate won Serie A after 4 years in game???

Yep, ciury is author of this tool http://sokker.worldofbarter.com/ and that might be the cause of him being always logged in.
