Subpage under development, new version coming soon!
Onderwerp: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!
sometimes anxiety or guilt fuels motivation of working for long hours and that posion of gasoline often works to complete hard tasks in a short time, which was seen during the early times of improvements and actually devs did pretty well in a short time. Whether some kind of burnout happen on the way or they have cash issues, idk but as a tech guy I can say that everything on that dev diary mostly seems like maximum a week or two of simple frontend coding and tweaking some numbers or algos for the tax rules -considering they are now very familiar with the codebase, or they had to be for such a long time now...-
I feel like they are just trying to handle users' noise, plus memberships while throwing some random little stuff for us to discuss.
Sorry but the carrots are very lame for a long time. Calling some past player data to frontend and telling us like it's a nice important development? C'mon... Prove us you guys are actually real developers.

He just told you it's a hobby for them bro. They won't do anything remarkable soon. So there's 2 things very clear, the game is cheap to maintain and users are leaving. And fuck they are!
The problem will come when part of the remaining plus users stop paying. Then it will become a headache for them and decide to quit.
So better to start bringing people asap in order to avoid getting to that scenario.
The game is dying, they simply don't want to say it and keep you "happy"
truth is there's huge possibility the game stays like this for the next 5 years

I was writing something yesterday and decided to pull it, today it's relevant.
"This game is on a knife-edge. It's reliant on Plus users to keep the lights on and all it will take is 1 poor decision from the devs to push it over the edge."
This might be it. Putting the prices up again, while not offering anything to make it worth it, that's not smart.
Personally I struggled with the idea of investing in a game that really doesn't seem to care anymore. I got over it by accepting this place is just a piggybank for the owners, and it'll end when it ends. I give it 18 months tops.

Putting the prices up again
what do you mean by "again"? There was no price change in last 15 years, possible not ever (I'm not sure about the day 1 prices). and current prices are ridiculous. what can you buy for 1 month of plus (yearly version) in UK? half pack of cigarettes? what a terrible price that is...
this game will go on for at least nearest 5 years, if people haven't left yet and a huge % of them still pays for plus regularly, then they won't leave in nearest time
for people like you, playing for 1-12 months, obviously it will be much easier to just quit because you haven't invested a lot of your private time here and don't have any important memories - I think that's the biggest advantage for the owners, there are people who play this game for 10, 12, 16 years, they are used to their routine of checking training, youths, games etc., many people even believe that this game has actual value in their life etc. so for such people it might be close to impossible to quit or become inactive

well they invested quite a lot into a dying game and thanks to their investment the game is still alive (it would be turned off years ago if they didn't rewrite the old code). if after years of investing/improving the user situation is not getting any better, they've run out of their investments funds and have some sort of problem in their actual job then it's understandable that an extra project like sokker won't be their main concern because it's just a big hole that you keep throwing money into at the moment.
I think they really believed that they can make this game get better fast but the reality turned out to be slower and more expensive so their impressive plans went to the dumpster fast. maybe they've got bad programmers or more likely for the programmers it was just an additional project after hours of their normal work. anyway, any change they introduced was bugged. another problem is that they didn't really have a coherent direction of changes, just a number of small unconnected changes, no big picture.
Online managers of this kind are a dying business, most of the classics are long dead or struggling terribly, investing in this kind of business was risky to say the least... if their plan was to reach stable 10-15k users with 20% paying then maybe it was possible, more than that was impossible

I've been here a lot longer than you think and I've done a lot more than you know. That's why I'm not using my original name, it comes with some baggage.

So many players 25-30 m Euro in transfer list. In my opinion, paying this much money to an players is ridiculous.
Sure, for younger teams it's ridiculous. But there are heaps of teams who sit on their money and are able to buy them, so the bidwars are out of proportion. It's only for the better players that these kind of prices are being paid.
I am an "older" team and its still ridiculous to me. Even if i am sitting on nice amount of money. That is actually the reason why i do not spend it.

Election canceled in O‘zbekiston and Cameroun
We have decided to cancel the elections in the following countries:
• O‘zbekiston.
• Cameroun.
These countries will be withdrawn from the competition, thus the number of teams entering the World Cup qualifiers will be reduced to 96 allowing for an equal distribution of groups and fair promotion rules.
16 six-team groups will be drawn up for the qualifiers, with the two best teams from each group advancing.

O‘zbekiston and Cameroun were removed from WCQ, but they forgot to remove one extra group, which caused even more 5-teams groups :D
