As I don't use Euros and I'm not Polish I'm not quite sure of the price but it seems to have roughly doubled?

The price doubled but only for signle payment methods for 2, 3, 6 and 12 months of plus subscription.

When you use monthly subscription it is like x1,8 I think.

It was always in polish currency I suppose "PLN's", but we will also run € account, but not immediately.

I just wanted to buy another year beacuse my curent one expires in 30 days.

It's your choice, if you subscribe a monthly subscription when we launch a new shop (tommorow) you will get the same price for 12 monts in a row, like you would pay now once a single 1-year plus.

But Plus will cost twice. What’s the point of this?
Better buy another year before the new price applies on October lol.

As I said, same price, your choice, 1-year now, or 12x 1-month with subscription.

You forgot about promotion, which allows you to pay monthly for 12 months same price like now for 1-year with old price. No difference in price.
2024-09-30 22:43:21
The goal is to convince users to subscribe monthly. That's why we are also launching a promotion that will keep the old plus price for up to another 12 months but only via a monthly subscription.

I am sorry, but that makes no sense, neither from marketing nor from business point.
But its not my company :-P. They can just follow the path of bad decisions :).

then pay an extra 4 bucks a year?

It's really not that big a deal.
2024-09-30 22:47:37
I suppose it's a cash-flow situation where they'd rather have small payments coming in regularly than big ones and running out of funds at some point. Makes sense for them, less so for us.

then send me the extra 4 bucks a year :P

It should be cheaper to buy upfront for a year, than by paying mountly subscription :)

From an economic perspective, the annual subscription is generally more advantageous for a company, as it provides immediate cash flow, stronger customer retention, and lower transaction costs.... or I'm wrong?
2024-09-30 22:51:09
Not really

Most businesses (streaming, media etc) promote the up-front whole payment for one year with automatic prolongation

That makes sense especially in sokkers limited funds situation because you get the money for whole year at day 1 so you can already invest the whole amount into making the game better and getting more users faster

The monthly subscription option is usually the worst one for buyers not the best one

Soker came to the point, where we can't make chagnes faster. We want to, we have plans, we improved alot in our workflow, but there are not enough resources to make it work. No Sokker earns nothing, 0, null, everythings goes for such slow development and costs. Owners could close that game tommorow and would feel reliefe I think, but they are still trying.
And we see a chance, increasing income by 30-40% would give some new possibilities.

And to be honest - the pice was extremely low for years.

At the same time, you can read about plans that are already "on workshop".

Typically that's the way it would be done but I guess they'd rather run it month to month, knowing what they can afford over the short term, than take the big payment and run out of funds if subscriptions drop sharply.
