Have I Missed something, in training Defender cannot train Playmaking and yet it's a crucial skill imo. When did this change, and if it did why? It really is messing up my teams training plans as I have a defender training with Mid orders to get PM but that does not figure with the plan for most of my midfield trainees and it sucks. :(

for def more important is tech skill :) yeah you can see in training type what skills you can train to specific position. :) def cant train striker and pm, mid cant train def and striker and striker cant train pm and def.. and gk also cant train striker and pm :D

My point is that it's silly, defenders need PM and midfielders also need defending! Also I like strikers with some PM, it means they pass sometimes when others are in more space.

i know but also makes you that you cant train all team def only.. you must ,,pay,, something ( play with different order also max 5 in one game).. its harder but also better to not giving chance to train all your mids def.

I disagree, I have different trainees that need different things. I don't have all mids, all defenders etc. I have a 2 GK, 3 defenders, 4 mids and 1 striker. One defender now is max in def and pace and needs PM. 2 Mids need tech, 2 pace.

I had to play a defender last night with ATT orders so he could get Pace. Genuinely I think a defender should be able to train PM and midfielders train in defence as they are key skill still.

i agree playmaking is super important for def and should be possible to be trained its very bad restriction that ads a lot of complexity in training

It's been like that ever since the current training system started in 2022. It's already been discussed wide and large, since it presents some challenges like the ones you point out yourself.

Thanks, I guess it is highlighted for me a lot at the moment because of this player that I really want to train in PM.

This is exactly why these training restrictions are a good thing.

It's already MUCH easier since you can have 4 different trainings every week instead of just 1 (that was also order-oriented).

At the same time... since they facilitated it so much, at this point it is stupid that you can't train pm for DEF or def for MID, since all it does is fucks up with match orders and thus the games. Pointless.
