Okey I understand... a little question, do you think the users of this kind of game, give priority to the visual aspect over the logic behind it?
Surely the visual aspect is necessary to implement it in android, ios... because the code is very obsolete.
If a game doesn't look good, it won't attract new players for it.
They want to experience a good look before willing to go deeper into the game. So the visual updates are prior to the gameplay updates...at least for the attraction of new players.
But since very little new players come and stay, it should be better to revert the priorities to gameplay!

I mean, it seems like the rate of progress/development is such that it's challenging either way.
If they are working towards a mobile version, honestly that will be the only way to really survive long term. It's long overdue. It's a difficult situation.

they still haven't started promoting/advertising the game so why would there be new players coming? they were planning to do that after they finish the most important aspects, like layout
for now the whole game is a mess, to find tactics you need to go to... training, there are no rules about new training etc. so there's no point in bringing new people here...
anyway, even this new layout doesn't look modern nor lucid... judging by the tempo and quality of each of their changes, this game will probably never get up to modern standards and won't bring more than 15k active users (even that would be a lot)

there already was a mobile version, nobody wanted to play it
it's not a game model for mobile version, it's too slow, it's not "play when I want to"

I think this game will never be attractive to teenagers etc. The target group is more like 30+ people who are not attracted to games by "looks" but more by gameplay and functionality. The changes that started with the graphics are a mistake, because probably a lot of money went into it and in the process destroyed the simplicity and clarity of sokker. The previous design was simple, intuitive and it was one of the last things to change.
Sokker's target should have been different. Already several games have lost loyal and regular users (PUBG or CoD) because they started introducing pink teddy bears, colorful gadgets, etc. to attract youngsters who pay for gadgets, colorful upgrades or simply for faster development. Sokker is a different category, and that seems to have been forgotten by the new owners.

The previous layout was not simple or intuitive, people just got used to it. You have "tactics" in training section, you had "youth school" and organising friendly games in office section. It was always a mess.
I agree that it's not a game for kids, but for 25+ or 30+, the problem is that such people often no longer look for new games to play and they definitely don't look among games that were created 20 years ago, so marketing the game for 30+ people is not such a good idea as well
Also it doesn't matter if you are 10, 15, 20 or 40 years old - if it's 2023 and you enter a new game and the website looks like it's 2006, then you probably leave before registering
Anyway, even other managers have shown that the market for online browser slow-pace managers basically died. Lots of games are already deactivated, hattrick lost over 800 000 users

That's right. In my opinion, however, they should start the change with something else. Since you noticed that browser games are dying then the "old" users should be taken care of first.
Changing the league system, changing the training + other changes that users have written about and, finally, only changes in graphics and attempts to attract new ones. Because changes in graphics did not attract new ones, time and money went to cosmetics + some, however, nice changes and now nothing is happening.
Changes neither for new users nor for old ones. It would be nice to have things arranged with a football academy, training speeds, league system, not so strong randomness in the form and injuries of players, and most importantly up-to-date rules + tutorial and only then the graphics, new layout and other such fuss.
It's nice that anything is happening, but I'm afraid that the reality of the game has outgrown a bit the vision of quick and simple modifications. I'm rooting for everything to go well. Sokker to the end! :D

Honestly I think that if this was the way that they would take, then... they simply wouldn't change anything, because from business side it would be the only sensible option. No point in investing A LOT of money just to keep the same user base as there was for last couple of years, you invest to bring more people, not to make people that are here just a bit more happy.

No no, I didn't say changes for old users. Ultimately changes to develop the game and get users. But starting from the ass side is the wrong solution. They lost old users, didn't get new ones, spent cash on insignificant changes and it's not good.
PS. I don't know if it functions in English "from the ass side" but i really like it :D

What is worse, they made people who are here angry or disappointed or just numb.
When you run a dying 2000's browser game you should make all of your effort not to lose a single existing user.
I am really curious to see them bring a big number of new users, even them being the returning ones.

This is the point.
This game is not meant to have thousands of active users.
All the people I introduced found the game too complex.
It's not a game for teenagers.
But there is no way to accept having less active users than a ManagerZone or HT.

lol, hat trick just sent me an email looking for me to rejoin.
undecided. I made a team again, so technically, yes...but will I keep playing? TBD.
