As i said, you wouldnt understand. I didnt say make drops smaller. I said make drops smaller + probability higher. This will give you what you are asking for (a somewhat linear function). But never mind.

I get that this is a game, but the ratio between, being a game and try to simulate real life, is also so badly distributed within the game.
Going by that logic, you can't train a player from average pace - average tech - average striker to 3x divine in real life - but you can here
In general it's not possible to improve RL player's pace from 1 to 17, but in sokker it's easily doable - so if you can't lose playmaker in real life, then you also should start with much higher pace that would be difficult and limited in training
Players like Mbappe or Messi were top of the world by the age of 21, it's not possible here etc.
It's just a simple game, there's no point going into such details imo

I tried explain it to you with basic math. But what you are asking for is small drops with 100% probability (true linear). Right now we have big drops with 2-10% probability (quite extreme random). We both agree its too random. But i disagree with you that it should be true linear, because this would make the game even more predictable and less simulated then it already is. We even should have had 0-100 skills instead of 0-18 and some 70-100% progress from training to make it even more realistic but still with pops that made it funny. And with bigger scale the random would seem less, but still harder to calculate then current linear system.
Players real life dont all grow in same periods and detoriate in same periods, an this is Football manager game and not Lego castle building. But i think I used way too much time arguing this with someone who cant even figure out the math of a gt versus an advanced training stays the same cause he gets confused about age.

And yes you are the fool, when you cant see that this statement "Make drops smaller" is world in different to "Make drops smaller PLUS PROBABILITY HIGHER"..... first statement tells you want them to detoriate slower, second statement tells you want it less random, they have nothing to do with each other....... but i dont know how much more kindergarden like i have to explain it.

I think also each player should have different aspect - there are some players who could start to age at diff age (diet, etc)
They do now because of the random
Some are useless at 34, some can play at 40
