interesting, do You have all stats about expectations and fulfilling state from PL leagues? is it an extreme case or pretty popular?

I wonder if lowest expectation and total failure is also possible, but probably is

I cant tell you exactly how, because I don't know, but it is surely based on avg seasonal team ratings from the predecessing season, club budget, league level and probably some more parameters, and all in context of league rivals.

Budget must play a major role, because I'm relatively broke and it thinks my team just surviving would be great success.

Meanwhile in reality, I'm a lock for top 3. If I don't promote, I'll be disappointed in myself

But is that a lot relative to the rest of your league, though?

Other than the B league promotees, I would wager every team has more standing cash than I have. Way more.

I've been around for like ..8 months now? Much of my money has been dumped into stadium - which pays off long term, but not initially. Roofing isn't cheap!

Sure, I get that. Everything in this game works in a similar fashion.

But, there are clubs with average teams who finished like 7th or 8th in past two seasons and league expect them to finish top 3. Or clubs with young players who just got promoted are expected to be top half etc.

That is the part that I don't get.

Example: Prva Liga Srbije

I just ran through Archive and look at first rounds. Those teams were winning, so the expectation is kinda based on teams' current results and it changes week to week.. OK, let's follow that trend.

The expectations don't change week to week, they are set for whole season.

It's mostly about money on the account, 1 euro on account is worth much more than 1 euro spent for player.

It probably takes into account average note for last season etc. but money is most important. I was one of worst teams in ratings last season, I'm one of worst this season and the game still expects me to easily win the league.

It's not a system created to be logical or to bring anything positive into the game

It's a system that was created only to hurt people who have money and make them spend it :) obviously it won't work, nobody will give a fuck about this, but it's sad that with their limited time and resources they decided to spend it to make playing experience worse instead of concentrating on adding something positive to the game

At least it can be easily ignored, since it's another one of these hidden features with no direct in-game link.

Well it is linked, if you don't fulfil the expectations, then your fan mood for whole next season will be negatively affected

Yeah I know. I probably worded it wrong - what I meant is that there's no clickable link to the expectations overview anywhere :o) Coupled with the fact that DD 73 has only reached the users who read intenational forum, I suspect a lot of users don't have a clue that this new feature is coming next season.

It also seems broken. I checked some local leagues, and some of the expectations lists only have 10 or 11 teams in them.

I must say that the expectations ARE weekly altered...

Then again...the expectations stand under average individual marks this week...
Dunno why though.
But thing is that the league position is looked at each week and then the expextations are evaluated by total failure...great succes or any stat in between.

We have biweekly update of how teams are in par with supporters expectations. On my league forum I pasted expectation once they were created and non of them changed - in my case supporters still expect me to be 9th strongest team in league and to avoid direct relegation.
