In this World Cup there are only Caballero-Negro and myself who haven't lost a single game. So it's easy to draw the conclusion that I'm a TOP-2 U21-manager in the World!

TheKarsten, look at your group, focus on number of active managers:


- Some users may say, that you disappointed.

- Some other users may say that you won with Suomi a silver and a bronze mdeal, but you never won gold, so you are a looser.

- For me, you are one of the top-U21 managers. There are some measurable facts (like the number of your medals, or the number of active users) and thanks to such hard facts (numbers), I can distinguish between my subjective perception (which has to do with my feelings and my psychological complexes) and the objective reality (which can be confirmed by numbers).

Of course we can start a discussion about Venezuela.
However I think it will be more interesting to point at the past bronze medal winners. Look at the table above: Italia won gold, Cuba won silver and Romania and Espania won (with DelPiero and with Cabalero-Negro) bronze medals.
I can't remember if any user of Romania or Spain wrote about disapointment for loosing the semifinal against Italy or Cuba. On the contrary I see, thet these managers are again coaching the same teams and now they are on the final.
Perhaps some users in Romania and in Spain think different, than some people from Poland. Perhaps they use the same criteria, that I use and so they think, that Delpiero and Cabalero-Negro are among the best U21-managers, despite loosing their semifinal before 2 seasons.

Wody is the best

You should write that in your clubs page. Something like this:

“Best U21 coach ever in a u21 cup”
“Best U21 surprise in u21 cup (edition Xxxxxx)”
“Best U21 coach of all time coach, even better than Woody”

Also write down something like this, so you wont sound arrogant, like Woody looks like:

“Those achievements have been assigned to me by myself and by Etávilo”.

Perhaps you don't really understand the situation because you weren't following the NT and Polish forum like we did, so you don't know how he acted during these 2 seasons and what the discussion is really about.

Also, nobody said that Woody sucks or anything like this. He was crictised with arguments, his choices and decisions were discussed.

Im not really disappointed with 'just a semifinal', as I've said losing with PL can happen, it's normal with how random this game gets...I'm more disappointed with Woody's ideas, tactics and character, they way he acted on the forum

In 10 minutes I found only 10 top form players that probably would have a chance to make the first eleven/first sub in u21 NT...and some look like 100% sure first teamers, both GKs are definitely better than the one on the bench and one in the first squad...same goes for strikers...

defs and mids can be tricky with value, but I can't imagine a DEF valued 1.25m euro not being proper for u21...

I do not understand how you can miss the best players for a given position in the national team, because it is very simple currently is from this program that helps us selectors a lot. Maybe Woody trusted these and not others, did not want changes, counting on chemistry?

That is true. I didn't follow the Polish forum and I don't know.

I only know that he needed the result against France, against Bosnia and against Germany and he got it.
I also know that it was a very hard game when I had to play against him and when I made my first mistake (change of tactics in minute 73), he scored immediately (minute 74).
I also know that DelPiero is one of the hardest managers to beat,
so I was very surprised by the comments in the World Cup forum.

If these comments are based on discussions in the Polish forum, then it would be better to continue this discussion in the Polish forum where it started. Here in the world cup forum most people did not follow the comments in the Polish forum (like me).

I call it high self-esteem and I like it, and I can understand that many people call it arrogance and big ego and don't like it. But your community voted him U21 manager more than twice, so I think it's very inappropriate to criticize his character here in world cup forum,
but ok, now I understand what you mean (I think so)....

The problem was that Woody was not liked/supported by polish community. Hence why he did not had access to some dB created by others who were scouts by previous coaches. TBH i do not care if Woody lost in semi finals. He bring us a medal, something that previous coach didnt done. Biggest regret is that he did not win gold. BUT. I believe in next WC he will be in final.
There is a lot of dissatisfaction in Polish community. There is a lot of tactical dissapointemnt. But none of those ppl were trying to get this position. Once those ppl will start as an candidates for some NT AND will get some results that will foreshadow Woody's achievements I will be the one to create praising topic for that coach:) But as for now I'll praise Woody's achievements:) cheers :)
