I dont really understand the importance of the Victoria Cup. But the Blackhawks didnt seem like they cared at the end of the game. xD. Plus, it was just one game, so how big of a day is it for Swiss hockey?
Sure it wasn't too important for the Blackhawks, but I don't think they like losing against a Swiss team ;-)
The Hawks played with their best players and they even forced Kane, Toews etc. in the last period.

I think Brian Campbell for example earns more than all players of the ZSC Lions together! Not only this shows the huge difference between NHL and the Swiss league.
No doubt that in a best of seven series the Hawks would win, but it was just one game, the Lions played almost perfect and didn't let the Hawks play. So it is a huge victory for Swiss icehockey, yes ;-)

Well I agree that it is not an "important" cup because it is only one game and there is not a big tradition behind it. Still to win it means price money and PR. And it is sure that for the Blackhawks this money would be less important than for ZSC and also PR-impact of course is much more for ZSC, because here it really is seen as a big deal to be able to beat a NHL-team when both teams play their best players.

Moreover, just read that it's the first time since 1991 that a NHL team loses against an European team after 60 minutes! ;-)
Question is how many matches there were played since NHL clubs and european clubs :D
I think it's really embarrassing that NHL team lose some Swiss team. All honour to Zurich that win :)
