And then people wonder why the Lakers are doing so bad...
Bumping.
I just love how the Clippers are doing. Going on full Globetrotter mode against some teams and most importantly, winning. I can't wait to see Billups and Hill back. :D
In other news: Kings move to Seattle almost done.
I feel bad for Sacramento fans, because it must be terrible to lose their team. But then again, the city and their fans are to blame also, if the city of Sacramento wouldn't get them a new arena, the least the fans could do to keep their team was to sell out and convince that they are a profitable city. The positive news for this is that the Maloofs are finally gone from the NBA's owner's circle.

There's a new party involved in the Kings saga now that would keep the team in Sac. Would love to have Sonics back though.
As of Clippers, only OKC and SA can beat them in west come playoff time. I think lack of playoff coaching will bite them in the a**.

Yeah, but that bid to keep the Kings in Sacramento is weak, that bid is led by the mayor of Sacramento, who is practically running a telethon, even asking LeBron for money, And sources say, even if there's a new offer, the Hansen-Ballmer bid is pretty much locked.

Mark Mastrov has deep pockets as well(would match the current offer+would invest 400mln to new arena). He was second in warriors bidding. Kevin Johnson is just making noise around it, he isn't leading any group of investors.
Looks like it's going to be a biddingwar and I'm rooting for Sonics :)

According to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the deal is done and expected to be presented on this week. The Maloofs just showed the bid to the Sacramento people to make Hansen and Ballmer bid more and the final price is $525 mil. I hope this goes along, NBA fans want more a franchise in Seattle than in Sacramento. I personally wanted the NBA to expand to 32 teams like the NFL so this wouldn't happen, but i like the idea of the SuperSonics coming back.

It appears to be official.
The NBA held a conference call with members of the league's relocation committee to outline deal points on the proposed sale of majority ownership of the Sacramento Kings to a Seattle-based ownership group, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The call detailed what NBA officials described as "a non-binding set of deal points" on a $525 million sale of majority ownership to the Chris Hansen-Steve Ballmer group, sources said.
The call took place on Tuesday – one day before Yahoo! Sports reported the finalizing of a deal – and informed several league owners that the Hansen-Ballmer Seattle group would purchase 65 percent of the Kings, sources said.

That was a week ago...nothing has changed. Still a bidding war ahead I assume.

More than a bidding war, it's madness.
There's a new lawsuit to stop the construction of Seattle Arena.
Kevin Johnson has been granted the chance to match the offer made by Hansen and Ballmer.
Apparently, David Stern is siding with Sacramento and there are a lot of offers to finance the purchase of the team and to fund the new arena.
On the other side, apparently the people of Sacramento don't want a new arena, because it's going to imply cutting funds for their schools, and buying a team without a new arena isn't attractive for the buyers.

Sale of Sacramento Kings to Chris Hansen's group officially announced

This
Also this
Sacramento's Mayor says he'll match the offer with three potential buyers, i think he's bluffing but if all goes according to plan, the Kings are going to Seattle.

Lakers is close to a play-off spot. Utah is doing really bad and they have a tough schedule ahead.
No, Vilpu, I didn't forget :) Or should I call you Vinny Del Negro?
