Greetings Sokker Community,

I would first like to personally thank Sokker for allowing me the opportunity in showing off Football Strategy.

Football Strategy [FS] is a innovative football manager game currently in it's early stages. You will take the role as a manager of your own football club, manage it and compete with thousands of real opponents in league games, friendlies and tournaments. [FS] is focus on being a challenging strategy game with in-depth game-play to offer the ultimate realistic simulation experience. We plan to offer many unique features and expand further based on the community feedback; which is why we urge you to register to follow our development and have open discussions using our in-game forum. For more information visit our official website at: http://www.footballstrategy.org/index.php

Is there a visual match engine? I play only if there's a visual match engine where you can see each movement of the ball. And it needs to make sense what influences the ball movement. So, I play only Sokker and ManagerZone.

check the trailer, it seems interesting ;)

I hope this thread gets deleted, obviously open for advertisement purposes.
2013-03-07 16:27:56
Indeed. Communication of the developers is already better than here ;-)

I did and I haven't found the answer to my question. If there's no ball that I can see moving relatively sensibly - I don't play. They can put the best graphics, features, videos, devs communicating on daily basis - I don't care.

@ Alien

Yes there is a 3D visual simulator. If you take a look at the trailer you will see a small taste as to what you can expect it to be like. And not only can you see the ball movement/actions via the 3D sim but also in our textual simulator by graphical representation of the field/pins. Similar to Sokker, you will be able to assign a ball/position ratio during the selection of your tactics. Stop by the site and check out the screenshots closely to get better idea. Don't forget to subscribe to receive a reminder for the Beta release.

@ Morsey

Indeed I open this thread for the purpose of spreading the word about this game, but isn't that the purpose of all the other football sim games already on the Sokker forum? Don't you think it would be "OK" to inform other users that enjoy these types of games?

@ Levitate

Sokker has been around for many years (so have I) and I can say by experience that they try their best to stay up to date and keep its users inform. It is not an easy task, but I believe they have done a great job with the game so far and I enjoy playing it every day. As for [FS], I can assure you we will also try our best to interact closely with its users and keep the site constantly updated.

Hm...since it's beta, what is going to happen after you finish beta testing? Reset of players etc.?
I think I'm going to give it a try. Looks promising.
2013-03-07 20:14:08
Yes, the game will reset after being properly tested with the exception of the forum.
2013-03-08 18:27:06
For those really interested in testing out the game I suggest you visit the site and "subscribe" to the newsletter that way you will receive an e-mail the day before Beta launch. We will also be soon releasing a video focusing solely on the 3D sim so you can get a better idea as to what we have to offer.

I have a couple of questions (rather curiousity about the gamemaking process than the game itself):
1. How long took You creating this game?
2. How big is the team?
3. Did You know Unity engine earlier or You just learned by creating FS?
4. You wrote that it is innovative game, could You expound to me why You think so, because I didn't find any significant innovations here after watching part of the movie.
5. How transfers mechanism works in FS?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

@ Kryminator

1. We have been working on [FS] for over two years now.

2. There are four staff members, but several of our work has been outsource (mostly graphic design related work).

3. One of our staff members has been working with Unity 3D for many years.

4. I understand that it might not seem "innovative" for some just by watching our pre-mature trailer but am confident that when Beta begins many if not all will agree that [FS] is a big step forward.

5. [FS] has three types of transfers: loan, auction, and buyout. I suggest you check out the site and click on "FS Rules" to learn more about transfers and other features.
