Giro d’Italia
The Giro d'Italia is an annual bicycle race primarily held in Italy, while also occasionally passing through nearby countries, and one of cycling's Grand Tour races. Since 1931, the leader of the general classification is identified by the pink jersey. The color pink was chosen because La Gazzetta dello Sport, the sports newspaper that created the Giro, was printed on pink paper.

Predictions
> Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) is most favorite to win the Giro d’Italia 2015. Contador will attempt the Giro-Tour double and has had a slow buildup.
> Richie Porte (Team Sky) has had a fine spring. The Australian has won Paris-Nice, the Volta a Catalunya, and the Giro del Trentino. He has outstanding form, and he is a very good time trialist who should do well in Stage 14.
> Rigoberto Uran (Etixx-QuickStep) finished second in last year’s Giro. He has the climbing ability to stay with the best, and he has the time trialing chops to take time out of his rivals in Stage 14.
> Fabio Aru (Astana Pro Team) hopes to improve on his third place in 2014. In 2015, the Italian has finished sixth in the Volta a Catalunya, although he missed the Giro del Trentino because of illness.
> Ryder Hesjedal (Team Cannondale-Garmin) won the Giro in 2012, but he failed to finish the following year and could do no better than ninth in 2014. Hesjedal has good climbing chops, and he can hold his own racing against the clock.
> Outsiders to win the Giro d’Italia 2015 are Roman Kreuziger (Tinkoff-Saxo), Leopold König (Team Sky), Jurgen van den Broeck (Lotto Soudal), Benat Intxausti (Movistar Team) and Damiano Caruso (BMC Racing Team).

It seems to be very good for Czech fans now :D because Contador goes for overall victory - i believe. And Porte had any problem, so maybe König will be SKY´s leader.. :-D

UCI = maffia
Porte Gets punished
Contador not
No helmet in the race = DSQ
But they don't follow it !
After porte-gate they should be consequent !

It's almost always the same when it comes to these things. In football the top CL teams are also protected even though some are completely bankrupted and illegally saved with public money and other illegal constructions, but instead every season these teams are in the final 8 and UEFA accept it.

Steven Kruijswijk second in this brutal stage. Great result of course and very good he is now in the top 10 and one of the favorites to win the blue jersey, but he definitely deserved more as Landal this race. Landal was 'only' following Kruijswijk and Contador, while Kruijswijk was working really hard to win. This is cycling, I know, but it's not nice to see someone win this way.
A Dutch rider winning the blue jersey would be great :)
