yep you have to be a patient person, but you can improve a lot there...I always prefer a "social" community.

I'm from the Southeastern outskirts of Budapest. The city itself is really nice, I love it, even if it's a bit dirtier, than it should be:

However I cannot tell much about my district, Pestszentlőrinc. It's just a sleeping-district, with the airport nearby. It's mostly calm, but if you want to make a program, which is more sophisticated, than drinking beer in a bar, you have to get to the city centre. Most of the jobs are there aswell.

The building in the middle is where I work now:

"Old Jolly-bosh" = Stary Żoliborz, Żoliborz, Warsaw, Poland.
Nicknamed: "Green" Żoliborz ...green... for some reason... ;-p
...actually "green Żoliborz..., f***ing Żoliborz..." from a 90's rock song, by band "T-love". :-)

PS: Żoliborz is a very different sight, to most of Warsaw which was leveled in WW II.

The symbol of Żoliborz "Alina with the pitcher"

"POD-y" = "Pods" workers allotments/gardens :-), long park with a shoal (lake), ex-"RKS Marymont" football ground, Vistula river and a well camouflaged citadel in the background.

the long park...

(ex-US president) Woodrow Wilson's roundabout - district center, surrounded by 3 different parks... and the Pods. Wilson's 14 points, number 13
XIII. An independent Polish state should be erected which should include the territories inhabited by indisputably Polish populations, which should be assured a free and secure access to the sea, and whose political and economic independence and territorial integrity should be guaranteed by international covenant.

....some 'polish manor style' villas, surrounded by green trees,

the Vistula river bank, "beach" boogalo bar.

...more trees everywhere...

the saturday's "breakfast market" in the main "Polish Army" avenues.

"Polish Army" avenues, with Gereral Maczek's, first armoured division - monument.
Division who fought in normandy (Falaise, Breda) for the Idependence of France, Belgium and Holland. (and Poland, in the longer term)

Citadel moat park... another one...

And the future, military museum in the Warsaw Citadel based in Old Żoliborz.

brrrr... and we do get nice winters too... :-)

ten minutes walk to Polonia Warsaw stadium:

The city itself isn't bad, just that we hold some bad reputation across the globe once you read about the city.

Edit: now I see, you've posted the city's name earlier, but not in this post. So I got the name from one of the image urls, because I didn realize that. :)
