Onderwerp: Bet on Euro 2016

2016-06-29 14:11:57
How? At this point, at most Italy or Germany will be in the final, so his prediction is impossible.
2016-06-29 14:12:29
Lots of sense. Maybe if you lose against the tournament winner you end up in a pool with all teams who lost against that tournament winner and play for 2nd place?

I dont think he is watching the Euro, but he likes to bet.

Italy vs Germany is the final, end of story. Meanwhile, Bale is going to score again, so this is the only weakspot of the tale.

Any thoughts on Poland? We're doing pretty well, would be fun to make Ronaldo cry again.
2016-06-29 15:55:47
I did expect them to do well. Glad I picked Glik and Blaszy... in my team (there's a game in Belgium similar to the FIFA one for the WC 2 years ago) :)

I keep my fingers crossed for Poland. Iceland vs. Poland would be a nice final.
2016-06-29 16:31:19
For a Sokker players Poland is the best, no way ;-)

Doing really good, it's underestimate from media.. Portugal got big names but not doing really well so far

no problem making ronaldo cry. i see poland in final with italy

I was right with the final Iceland - France...but why did they moved it up from sunday 10th to sunday 3rd?

@Lange, Collunder, imann
Nice to hear that people like our team. We're a bit surprised that they are doing so well, especially the game vs Germany was a shocker.

And Pazdan...if you asked any given Pole before the tournament who they rate the least in NT, they'd pick Maczynski and Pazdan. Meanwhile Pazdan suddenly became a real beast of a defender...never would've expected that :-)

a bit of a downer that Lewy barely shows his potential, but he plays for the team and fights a lot, always covered by 2 opponents, so Milik and others have more space...and he's not Nemar or Suarez, so it's hard to expect him to perform when he gets 0 passes into the penalty area [literally, vs Switzerland he receive zero passes in penalty area, all of them went to wings or centre of field]

still, Germany was the only tough opponent we faced so far, Switzerland was hopeless in the group stage and still manages to dominate us in the 2nd half when we were out of steam...so Portugal will be the real test I guess.

that's the dream for me :D

Poland seems really disciplined in all fields and looks similar to Italy for some reason so i think Portugal is gonna have a hard time. Only if they get a fast goal it will be really hard for Poland.
2016-06-30 10:09:48
That's a good observation. The reason is that our coach, Nawałka, is a big fan of Italian football. He often visits Polish players there, look at the trainings, watches games of Serie A etc. In a way he has a similar philosophy of football.

The defence is prepared very well, both defs and mids move 'together'. I was particularly impressed with Blaszczykowski against Germany, where he had an amazing impact in defence, which is not what we usually see from him.

I'd never heard about Kapusta till euros started but he did impress me too during first game :p

I don't see Poland so strong. They had quite serious problems against us and we were not that good really. On the other hand, Portugal hasn't convinced either. Perhaps you can park the bus and catch their defense off guard once. Still I'd bet on 0-1.

Meanwhile, we are facing serious defensive problems
