Wild conditions whipped up by ex-Tropical Cyclone Linda off the Queensland coast provided Californian teenager Griffin Colapinto a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to surf through three barrels at the World Surf League's season-opening Quiksilver Pro event.
The 19-year-old was rewarded with a perfect 10 score at Kirra Point, after the action had been moved from Snapper Rocks due to the swell off the Gold Coast.
With other words, a hole-in-one at his first ever match! Amazing.

After a (too long) break from sports, I started again and wanted to build up slowly so I would not get injured, something that already happened in the past (right shoulder). I went a couple of times, did what I always did, some cross trainer, rowing and calisthenics TRX workout, but after that I wanted to test how many times I could pull myself up to know if I was ready for some other calisthenics workouts. It turned out I could pull myself up 2 times, after the first time I felt a sharp sting in my left arm, and with the second pull I almost completely tore my left biceps muscle. So far the slowly build up and not getting injured again .. :/
I really liked fitness training before that, 2 or 3 times a week for a couple of hours to stay healthy and don't get overweight, but now I like going to the gym not that much anymore :/
When I put some tension on that muscle for a little while, heavy lifting for example (I found out when I moved to a new house, a lot of lifting needed to be done), I still feel some pain at that same place. Soon I want to go back because going to work by bicycle is not enough to stay fit, but I won't do any other workout anymore as what I'm used to do :/ No more trying out other workouts to change it into full calisthenics.

damn, sorry to hear that, hate injuries.. did only muscle got ruptured? are ligaments/tendons ok? it depends of the degree of rupture but muscle tend to heal almost completely (even though therapy is long and not easy)..
at the moment my problem is "golf/tennis" elbow because I thought it would be awesome to force planche workout which (I presume) severely damaged my tendons in right elbow, sharp pain and shit.. doing some eccentric exercises to try to heal it (massaging it with glucosamin in a hope to faster healing :)..
yeah, gyms are, I dunno, all due respect to people that work out of course, but I'm not really fond of gyms XD..
this is my "poison" :)

yea, I'm afraid this thought passed through my mind also XD...
