damn, sorry to hear that, hate injuries.. did only muscle got ruptured? are ligaments/tendons ok? it depends of the degree of rupture but muscle tend to heal almost completely (even though therapy is long and not easy)..
at the moment my problem is "golf/tennis" elbow because I thought it would be awesome to force planche workout which (I presume) severely damaged my tendons in right elbow, sharp pain and shit.. doing some eccentric exercises to try to heal it (massaging it with glucosamin in a hope to faster healing :)..
yeah, gyms are, I dunno, all due respect to people that work out of course, but I'm not really fond of gyms XD..
this is my "poison" :)
"No more trying out other workouts to change it into full calisthenics."
yea, I'm afraid this thought passed through my mind also XD...

pics isn't representative, there are dip bars, pull up bars, sand volley ball court (awesome for sprints), and few more things out of the picture...

Not sure how bad the damage was, the physiotherapist told me each time what I needed to do to make it better, starting with rest and no pains at all because that would form more scar tissue. He did tell me there was a chance this was going to happen, that it would be a little painful spot in my arm. And that is what happened, also with the help of a physiotherapist.
I hope some mild training will make it a bit better over time.
Old men get injured more easily, don't they ;)
Never had a tennis-elbow, but people who did told it was painful. Not nice to have. And all injuries take way too long to heal.

my gf keeps telling me that and I keep being stubborn and injuring myself XDDDD, blaming on the cold weather of course XDDD
tennis elbow, it depends on the level of injury but it's isn't really painful, it's more a nuisance, discomfort..

did he tell you what kind of therapy exercise you should be doing? there are also few "medications" you can use (hepan for regenerating muscle tissue, glucosamin for tendon and ligament regeneration, any menta based lotions with ibuprofen if it's swollen for better circulation etc.) but any of this should be prescribed by trained doctor of course..
but like they say "time heals everything" :)
(but old people like ourselves don't have time damnit!) XDD

Sometimes gf's are right, even though it's hard to admit, specially to them because they won't forget such a text said to them ;P
I had to do all kind of small exercises with a resistance band. Over time I could some more tension on it, I also got different colors. And at the moment I have different exercises for another problem in my left shoulder, I have to stabilize my shoulder with practices, and that also trains my arm a bit.

What I really can't stand is healing takes that more time as early twenties ;)

I remember injuries in teen years, open broken ankle, little ice, three days rest, good to go (metaphorically of course!)..
now after a few miles run (kilometers, fuck retarded units! XD), need magnesium, zinc, vitamin c 1gr, stretching, warming up, sleep and rest for atleast 2 days before another run.. dude, awful... XD
worst part is im in mid 30, that's not old for fuck sake! XD

LOL :P That's about what it takes indeed to recover.
Almost missing the bus, 'running' 200m and I feel all my muscles burning. It used to be fun to do, running 200m from stand still without any warming up and feeling nothing afterwards, maybe one sweat drip that got lost on my forehead but that was it.
I'm about half a decade 'older' ;) To see retired people running up a bridge in sport clothing as if it is nothing makes me feel old. Good reason to start training again :/

don't watch whole clip, but a dude holds front lever and is 71 year old..
._.
and there was I, though I will train until 50 and stop then because "what can you do when you are 50, right?" XDDDD especially now with some tendon issues in the elbow, pissed that I can't push as much as I would like to :)

wow, nice video. Doing a handstand at 71, on a rail, up high :) What else you can do when retired ... find a hobby and he did find his hobby.

coleman beast XD, seen one of his videos at work (he is policeman).. I never was a dude of gym but dedication and will power of those bodybuilders is very commendable! and each of those guys are excellent nutritionists (they have to be) regardless of do they use juice or any other PEDs..
not my cup of tea though :)

His famous yeeeah buddy:). These guys are strong as hell. They have extreme genetics because not many would stand the amount of juice and work in gym they put.
Well..he was pretty aware what it brings..but made his goals in life and will always be remembered:). He still workout and looks better than most of his age.
