France are simply “champions” in terms of football intelligence. Spain has a 38-year-old grandfather on the right in defense, you score after an attack from this flank, then you put the grandfather on yellow and... you stop attacking through the Spain most painful spot. Exactly this, France scored first and only goal from open play yesterday. They were just too defensive whole tournament. Griezmann and Giroud are washed up, why not take Olise and Mateta and have some energy in offense? Mbappe also failed hard.

As i said to Dtox, Spain had a lot of problems in defence, especially defending corner kicks. Luckily for them, France couldn't score, even though they had a lot of chances.

I don't see any team challenging this Spain within this tournament. Only Germany was a challenge and still they were defeated. Spain has a team rhat can shift a gear higher and totally outplay each opponent. Defensive flaws you say? Spain is the only team with it's defence being the weaker part (imo their GK), that has adjusted their tactic in that part so they play very offensively to avoid defensive clearing for the majority of the time. Belgiums weak point is defence too. And the failure within tactics there is that Tedesco tried to build up the play from our defence. He should've shifted the play percentage to the midfield and make our defenders play long balls and let our offensive players make the play. There's too much chess playing within big tournaments.
But to get back to Spain. They are not weak in defence. They actually play very good and have lots of players who can pass a high class ball...not those 2 metre blow passes to which other players need to run to to be able to receive the pass..
I said it...Spain Germany was and should've been the deserved final. Spaïn will win the tournament for sure.

The only problem with Spain, and you've seen it with the last 2 games, is that they seem to die off after 60 minutes. They attack so they don't have to defend, and when that attack runs out of legs, they don't look anywhere near as good.

Sure, but 60 minutes of wirlwind Spain usually is enough to win the game, due to lack of offensive power from their opponents, with exception of Germany.
