i was living in Liege last year so i have visited Standard three times (with extra match for UEFACup too).
if we compare stadiums, polish Orange Ekstraklasa is tragic. Jupiler League has some new and rebuilt stadiums left after EURO2000. and we have only 1,5 nice tribune in Poznan, one tribune in Cracow and a small 15000 new stadium in Kielce. that's all.
former Standard striker Kubica still plays for Gornik Leczna.
I saw Standard playing with Genk, Gent, Mons and Anderlecht (TV).
we have 5-6 teams in our league that should not fight against relegation in yours. maybe Wisla, Legia could be placed just after Racing, Anderlecht (Bruxelles- great night clubs :P), FC Brugge(beautiful city! and lots of memories). they're actually play like Standard Liege (dirty city, but who cares when you're 20 and there is a lot of nice girls around you for months).
this week mr beenhakker said that polish and belgium football just stopped in late 1980's. and he's right. same training mistakes, wrong clubs' organisation for years... in our case we have a big lack of infrastructure.
btw, Jupiler is a piss :D. there's nothing better than fresh and freezed Hoegarden Blanche, or abbayes, or ... or ... but all pilsners are not so good as they should be.

Belgian fotball rally sucks also the sups of a couple teams are great
The Belgian Jupiler league is of almost the same quality as the Dutch Jupiler league. There are only some clubs of a higher level, like Brugge for example.

Wisła Kraków - Estonian currently best GK (after retired Mart Poom of course :)) Sergei Pareiko (34yo) moved there from Russian league (Tom Tomsk - 114 games) and on 8 February 2011 he joined Polish Ekstraklasa side Wisła Kraków on a one and a half year deal. He became the first choice goalkeeper and won the Polish Championship title in his debut season. This season he has played already 12 games (1080 minutes).
Lech Poznań - I know this club due to its Europa League success in this season - they won their group in front of the football giants Juventus and Manchester City and got to the knockout phase, where they lost to Braga, who has just recently lost in the final to Porto.
Korona Kielce - Estonian 23yo winger/attacking midfielder Sander Puri is on loan there from Greece club Larissa since January 2011. According to http://naszaliga.pl/klub/korona,kielce,.html he has played 7 games and scored 1 goal. (321. minutes total playing time)
