Onderwerp: [Bug] supporters choose No roof over roof same price

2025-03-10 19:55:57
I never said it isn't, I am not trying to explain it, I am trying to understand it more precisely so it could be properly explained to developers

but you see that on rainy weather that stand without roof in the corner "acted" properly, right?
2025-03-10 20:06:52
My benches without roof are more popular than seats with roof.
Have experienced a lot with prices, but supporters like benches more with even or higher prices, doesn't really matter...

Will post screenshots if needed.

ok, but it is still guessing, because You dont know how many of fans who were considered by game as match spectators prefers benches, how many prefers seats, how many needs roof etc.
it's hard to say with 100% certainty that something doesn't work as intended
at least, I dont see it now

check fan preferences part in the game rules
Match Attendance
Depends on:
-Size of the supporters clubs of both teams
-Fans mood of both clubs
-Match type
-Weather (roofs can help in keeping attendance on raining days)
-Ticket prices.
-Stadium size and stand types.
-Fan preferences on the different types of stands.

Fan preferences
Not every supporter likes the same type of stand. Some fans prefer seats, others benches, some others prefer terraces and others prefer to stand on the grass. If their favorite place is sold out they are likely to buy ticket for a superior stand but they will refuse to go to an inferior stand. Depending on the weather some supporter will buy a ticket only if a roof is available in his preferred stand.

No in all cases the bad stands were favourite
2025-03-10 23:13:56
But if that were the case why my dad with all seater all roof had significantly higher attendance Even his prices were 1,25 euro higher and both cases of highest mood

So the supporters Come more if all seater roof but choose benches without at same price?

No in all cases the bad stands were favourite

no, at least not exactly
on that rainy day, there was indeed more spectators on the benches than any other single stand in the corner, but
1. there is only one stand with benches stand and 3 stands with seats, so ultimately more fans went on the seats
2. from what game rules say, some fans simply prefer benches and will usually choose them over seats
3. in the group of seats stands, the one stand without a roof was clearly filled in a lesser degree than two other with the roof

As I said that match you picked I only have roof on the center sides

And one of the seat stands was benches

If some prefer benches why do there still if you have all seater Come more supporters.... that detail i tried say 3 times now but you ignore it... you also keep ignoring i made rebuild of stadium so only last matches can be used

Yeah, I didn't check everything, but remember that
1. Attendance depends on many different things. For 2 teams those dependecies might be so different that it is hard to take direct comparison seriously without all relevant data. And I didn't check your and your dad teams, because on mobile device it is inconvenient.
2. There is probably random factor involved, but we don't know if it is and to what degree
3. Rules says that fans can choose superior stand (superior to their preferred stand), but not inferior

Anyway, I don't see any clear error here, but I am also not saying there is none. Either, I need more details or You have to explain it better, more thoroughly, so errors you see will be also clear to me.

It should never happen spectators buy more expensive tickets for lower quality seats or standings. Not even when the highest quality seats are sold out.

supporters shouldn't have fixed preferences, but they should in stead have minimum preferences.

That is how I understand the distribution (so far):

The fan base of own and opposing fans is weighted with the respective moods. This results in a spectator potential, let's say 10000.

This fan potential is then distributed to the place categories. Let's simply take those numbers as an example:

10% standing room = 1000
10% terraces =1000
40% benches =4000
40% seats =4000

Finally, there are deductions/bonuses per category depending on the entrance fee. And in case of rainy weather, deductions at non-roofed seats. I have not seen significant deduction for benches and terraces at rainy weather.
If there are still more spectator potential per category than actual places, then the potential is either added to next higher category or lost (if no higher category available).

what matters here is the sequence of calculations. Spectator potential is first distributed over the categories and then factored with entrance fee.

That means higher priced benches could be better booked than lower priced seats of higher category - especially when taking into account that spectator potential of standings and terraces is added to bench potential.

so in above example in a stadium with only benches and seats, the distribution of spectator potential is:

6000 benches
4000 seats

So it is obvious that there is still a scenario with higher bench price possible where more people book benches.

e.g. 6000 factored by 0.8 due to high entrance price 12 €= 4800 spectators
4000 factored by 1.1 due to relatively low entrance price of 10 € = 4400 spectators

Yes, and I think they should adjust the fixed percentages into minimum requirements. That was my point. I know it's calculated in a sortlike way, but I feel it's wrong. You can say, based on those calculations that it could be normal to have more attendance at a more expensive area in the stadium, but I feel it's not logical in the simulating way the game wants to reflect real life situations.

That could work, minimum preferences
