Ferdinand is for sale now, I decided to sell so he can be a striker and be more use to England in the future! ;)

I was very close to making him a mid given his talent but restrained myself! ;)

He sold for more than I expected given what others told me…..and he stayed in England!

No this you are no longer the Striker Academy :p

I don't get it. I mean, awesome money you got for him but I don't get the buyer. Let's say the player proves to be a real talent (not always a talented junior is a talented senior too) and pops up and becomes a super striker. Then what? You sell the player for a big amount of money. Let's say 6-7 mil. And you got a lot of games with an average striker (on his way up, ok) and your money back. Financially even but performance wise... still even. I hope I'm wrong. But I don't see why some users pay so much money for an 18 years old.

I disagree, look at what happened with Anthony Miller from my school, nothis got told he overpaid and then sold for a lot more……..

Ah, ok. That's my theory dismantled. Anyway, this prices are out of my reach, 9mil for 1 player vs 19 mil spent over 15 seasons on 124 players. But I guess 6th tier in Poland is where anybody aims to be.

Not surprised at all. Back in the day people would have been buzzing their **** off if they pulled a junior that good.

Perhaps that's because back then, the age part was lucky dip, but now that unknown is gone?
2022-05-03 14:56:20
Yeah the unknown part is where the skills go…..talent and age are now know, Miller was a late 17 yr old and I believe skills were similar although not quite as high overall as I think he was a Brilliant whereas Ferdinand was Unearthly.

Miller was bought for 7.75m and sold for just under 10m I believe.

I have seen really nice mids sell for 11-12m!!!

18yos are likely to be where things need to be at long term. I suspect better now than a 16yo with lower skills with shorter seasons, they may not get to the same level as the 18yos.

I could do with a funds boost like that though!
