Incredible Youth Pull

PauI Morris, age: 19, height: 179 cm
value: 77 550 £, wage: 1 065 £
club: Thamesmead Town FC, country: England
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

poor stamina, hopeless keeper
poor pace, solid defender
weak technique, unsatisfactory playmaker
excellent passing, very good striker

Paul Morris, despite coming out of the junior team with an incredible level, has shown disappointing skills. It’s tough to build a team with players like that.

This is exactly what I am dealing with lately, it's still 5 seasons since I got Freeman.....my last decent pull. :(
2024-10-03 07:41:33
I currently have only 11 players in the junior team, and honestly, I should probably remove half of them. I’m just keeping them around for the junior league.
2024-10-03 07:50:25
I don't take part in the junior league, I don't have enough players and tbh I don't see the benefit of playing in it?
2024-10-03 07:52:54
Of course, playing in the junior league brings no real benefits—I only did it out of boredom. In reality, I should only keep 3 players at the moment, and the rest should be cut.
2024-10-03 08:02:02
what are u talkin about you had a decent pull last week...
2024-10-03 08:46:15
Actually the pull last week potentially has a talent of 5 so the jury is still out on that, his skill distribution was ok however....thats why I am seeing what his talent is like before I decide what I am doing. Besides a 19 yr old outstanding is not the level I would like due to age. Had he been 18 then we would be taking a good youth pull :)
2024-10-03 09:41:53
so you want superstars not decent juniors, talk straight :))
2024-10-03 12:16:33
As I say the jury is out on whether he is even decent atm, if his talent is low then he's not a good trainee at all ;)

I wouldn't say no to a superstar though! :)

I've wanted to do this for a while, and to be honest I'm still not entirely happy with it, but it's roughly correct and along the same lines as the SK Tools A-D Class system.
There are essentially levels for what you should be looking for from any junior coming from your youth academy.

This only goes up to age 18.6 (34 weeks from 16 year old). I'd have liked to extend the range a little but it gets difficult to calculate once you get into matter of players beyond the range. Arguably you don't want to be pulling past 18.6 anyway as that's past optimum.
A Class is Gold, B is Green, C is Blue and D should probably be sacked.
For consistency this assumed a talent of 3, but it's not hugely important. It's the endpoint that matters.

Oh and you may see Levels 1-18 on the left. They correspond with the sumskill numbers on the right.
