indeed ;)
2005-07-14 19:55:18
I agree with the others. Sack him, even if you get a couple of grand for him you're still going to be £12k down on his cost as a youth player, and then another few k down on the coaches wages.
(gewijzigd)
2005-07-14 20:00:22
Yeah, but I want to see how untalented he really is and he's not taking anyone elses spot in the squad as I'm only getting a couple of youths each week... so I'm keeping him for a bit :o)
2005-07-14 20:11:33
Fair enough; I'd be interested in how long it takes him to pop when you do find out. With a similar coach I've had 6 weeks at the quickest and 9 at the longest for a complete pop.
2005-07-14 21:01:41
Both players are good plus a fair few weeks, I'm not keeping track though. I think they're both pretty alright?

They are ok - but you won't get a lot of money for them.
2005-07-14 21:06:23
i agree.

but when you are mid trainer, then you are lucky :)
2005-07-16 09:50:56
My first ever juniors :)

Jamie Halls weak 11 reject
Mick Fletcher adequate 26 reject

I also had a hopeless 21, a poor 5 and another poor 8 or 9.
I will reject the weak on thursday if he doesnt pop.
2005-07-16 14:37:14
I wouldn't keep the weak 11 if I were you - even if he pops and he's talented he's still not going to be above adequate when you come to sell him and you wont get much for him - he'll cost more than you get back.

...

This week:
Adrian Longley poor 6
Cory Howson poor 9
Hugh Herbert good 32

Poors are binned, Herbert should end up being pretty good by the time he's ready.
2005-07-16 21:13:12

2005-07-22 12:50:47
I've just promoted these two guys from my academy.

Solid + 3 (popped in 5 weeks)

Barry Barker, age 18

very good form

hopeless stamina,
average pace,
unsatisfactory technique,
average passing,
tragic keeper
average defender
average playmaker
poor striker

------------------------------------------
Very Good + 3 (popped in 5)

Michael Galvin, age 18
value: 36 300 £, wage: 570 £
very good form

tragic stamina,
solid pace,
average technique,
tragic passing,

solid playmaker
unsatisfactory striker

They're by far the best things out of the academy and due to their talent I can't decide whether to list them or to keep them. And maybe give them some secondary training. Is that worthwhile or should I just see what I can get for them?

Much appreciated.
2005-07-22 12:54:43
You wont get much for the first one. The second can give a good sum of money.
2005-07-23 13:41:02
Only one new junior this week who was an average 15. Binned him.
2005-07-23 13:42:56
Binned all 3 of mine.
