Two tragics, one hopeless and a weak. :(

I think staff don't give good youths to moderators! I haven't got single trainable youth for almost 2 months...

:D

I actually kept a tragic once to see how good he would be. He's in this topic somewhere.
2005-08-20 18:55:25
I'm gonna keep mine too. By some fluke he'll come out with all excellent. Or something.

2005-08-21 20:38:39
this weeks "starry-eyed hopefuls" pushed along by parents who desperately want to retire early on the proceeds of their offspring!

Stewart Howarth adequate 9
John Edmonds adequate 11
Aaron Griffin tragic 11
Sean Pollard weak 16
Harold Byrd average 20

See if you can spot, who's parents will still be going to work on monday?

PS. I'll probably keep the former Test Umpire, a bit long in the tooth but great technique and experience!

Hi guys,

I have read up on 'Junior squad' and allocated myself 6 spaces to start off with. But as Ive just started could you just clarify how it works exactly?

E.g. PLAYER A (7) Hopeless

I think 7 is no. of weeks etc but just humour me and explain it to a simpleton like me :) cheers
2005-08-24 18:00:54
PLAYER A - That's the players name :)

(7) - The number of weeks until he will be promoted into your full squad

Hopeless - His current "skill". It basically tells you how good he will be when he comes through, but don't take it as any guarantee that he'll actually be any good.

Anything lower than Solid when they are ready probably won't be all that great.

Edit: The skill levels up every few weeks, just like a regular skill would. The time it takes to go up a level is dependant on the players underlying talent and the usefulness of your youth coach.

1. sack any player that says tragic, hopeless, unsatisfactory.

2. consider sacking poor, weak, average depending on your tactics, money situation, the players' talent etc.
