Injuries are an issue in this game.....mine always happen to my trainees annoyingly.

What was that about it not being a formality?

My last defeat....and granted it was a long time ago (apart from Champions Cup) was a shock result to the AnfieldLFC.....so nothing is a formality ;)

I will go strong for the final, and I hope to win the cup and give myself a chance at a 5th consecutive double. This is my purple patch and I have to ensure I stay at the top as long as I can, my team will weaken and already is to a degree......I have 3 very young trainees again and I keep trying to buy others but am not online when they end. I have a big bank balance for the right players though.

As I said to BR on another thread: you're the first victim of this. In the long term you're going to drop because you're not being challenged and other teams refuse to push. There are teams in England with a healthy budget, good players and knowledge. And yet, they all pretend they've got more important things to focus on and lack the courage to challenge you. It's sad to see an FA Cup semifinal like this. You have it way too easy and when a real challenge comes along (Champions Cup) you find it way too hard. And you end up being eliminated by a team from Malta.

For those who want to know, Malta has 20 users, their first league average marking is 53.2

You do have a point, I was a bit unlucky in the champions cup tbh. Last season I was eliminated by a rating of well over 80….I can’t match that in any case lol

You (or someone else) should be able to match ratings of 80. If I'd have the right budget I know I'd push you to a better rating. Some might laugh but when I promoted that was my plan. It failed. Quite spectacularly. And then I decided to reset. And try again. I relegated with a team value of under £10 mil. It's now at £13.7 mil. Training is not as amazing as I hoped. But it seems to work beneath the obvious. It's financially where I struggle. I'm bad and unlucky at selling/buying players. Probably I will never get to see the master plan happening. Just like the HS2.
But it's disappointing (and it should be for you too) when teams that could do the above decide that 'oh, I'm gonna lose anyway so why try?' in a game that could take them to FA Cup final. Respect to Legia, they pushed you, otherwise you'd have been even weaker. They got tired at some point at the end of the last season but signs show they didn't give up.

I think the training changes I. General have taken Away from the game. Getting less training time sucks both in the school and also once promoted per season.

I won tonight’s final 4-0, it was a bit one sided as I think Polska played a young side. My 7th FA Cup win now, very happy….but I figure it might end soon as I restart my team cycle.
