Onderwerp: [U21] Qstarw The last World Champion

Theoretically, England is the weakest in the group, but life can have a completely different plan. In my history of playing, I've already had matches where I won against Italy:)

Good luck Piotr

I am speechless. If you can't score into an empty goal twice in the same match, it's clear that there is a lack of quality in the team. I'm far from complaining. Today I had to play defenders as midfielders.

Good game mate, it's always nice coming up against an NT manager who is actually active with their community.

The fair result today would definitely have been a draw with the slightly less fair one being a 1:0 win in either direction.

Both teams had great chances and shots on goals.

Good luck in your group for the World Cup. We too are the weakest in our 4 team group but the best thing about it is there are no expectations so any results you get are shocks to the opposition but are actually due to good scouting and coaching

I am unfortunately not satisfied with the result. As you wrote, a draw would have been fair.

I start by saying that in my opinion, achmid is one of the best Australian managers.
I also think that a draw would have been fairer.
Nothing is lost yet! Go go go! Under21 need 2 victory!

I am far from optimistic about the upcoming World Cup. However, we can always create some surprises.

I already have tactics prepared for the World Cup, but I don't want to reveal them now. When I managed Scotland and later Hayastan, I always built teams that suited my style of play. That's why my main focus right now is not the World Cup, but the next tournaments. It's important to train the right players for that.

Thank you for the match.

Your opinion is as empty as the Aussies net today. A loss, a draw, a win, no matter, if you're going to come with an opinion, at least make a constructive one. Like, for example, I'm going to say that the tactic has a massive flaw, the central defenders are coming too high up for a loose ball and that allows a striker with good DEF to steal the ball from them and run into the empty space that the central defender left (see Chapman today). Same problem at the goal, the gap between the defenders and the midfield line is too big for that phase of the game, hence the Aussie strikers could easily pass the ball in the box and Goulding had all the time in the world to shoot. To conclude: too much space between the lines and between the defenders. It's U21, pace is not that high but the mistakes happen very often. Doubling down in defence is very important. Transiting the ball through the midfielders is not, they'd only slow down the attack. The quicker the ball gets to the striker the better. The way the midfield is lined up is asking for a string of passes and therefore, slow transition. Also, the strikers don't seem to be in top form, definitely not in the form my U21 striker is (just scored 4 in FA Cup btw). I'm guessing Piotr is aware of him and not picking him up because the others are better. But if that's not the reason, maybe we should have a look at other players and don't get stuck on the usual ones. Because they let us down today.

It's really not my place to criticise or have an opinion about NT's. But is Pavoniana's place for sure as a wannabe NT senior manager. Let the rest of us do the 'well done' comment for a win or 'unlucky' for a loss.

Plus, you're Italian for goodness sake! Act like one, talk like one!

Of course, comments, whether positive or negative, are welcome. It's important to take into consideration the players that are available as well.

Given that mine was an encouragement to Piotr. :)
I have been CT under 21 for many seasons and I am what it feels like to lose important games.
I didn't go into the merits of tactics, but I said that, for me too, as for the Australian coach, it was at least a draw game. In short, balanced match. If I have to talk about tactics I could fill a papyrus! ahahahahahah
