I have never trained stamina in my players.

I had previously trained all my players stamina during the close-season back in the day! I'm sure I read somewhere that players with higher stamina either trained or performed better! Long time back mind you!

You can generally tell which team has better stamina by play in the half and which way it swings for the second half. Definitely makes a difference as the time goes on.

Yes, very true. My players have pretty low stamina generally but it's hardly a surprise given their age. I'm not sure if I can actually bring myself to ever train it. Training is so important and I'd hate to waste it on something like stamina!

Let me remind you that after the reform of the game, we have the opportunity to make 5 player changes, so stamina will play a lesser role in the match.

It's more important that general training changed and is much faster now. There is no point in training stamina for youngsters, they will reach formidable on their own via general training - talented young players pop in stamina every 7 to 8 weeks, sometimes 6. So around 2 pops every season - in other words if you get a 17yo with weak [4] stamina, he will reach max stamina around age 21 and he doesn't really need to get it earlier + obviously you can't get it higher than formidable so there's not much upside to getting earlier to formidable.

Even worst cases will reach max stamina on their own around 22yo. I have a 20yo who started at tragic stamina and already has adequate +5, so should be at good stamina in 2 weeks and solid at start of next season.

Also another thing is that even if you decide that your 21 needs to get max stamina already, it's better to train it at 21 than at 17 due to other skills training slower while getting older.

Cantona training technique atleast till he gets to formidable/outstanding next season he should be there, monty pace maybe one or two more jumps and than pass.

Townsend had 1 Train and 7GT & popped to Excellent [10] Passing, then he had no trains and 10 GT popped to Formidable [11] Passing aged 19-20, amazing talent!
He was a late in season Magical 18yo Junior

Ferguson was a mid season 19yo Unearthly junior, not as good as him talent wise, now 20yo
Musk 6 games into season 17yo Very Good junior, pops every 2 trains even if they are 97% on striker and Tech @ Solid-Very Good-Excellent, now 18yo

Musk is looking better, but his low form is still a concern.

Townsend and Ferguson are emerging as leaders of our England national team, with Townsend being its star.

6 pops this week - and not a single stamina one.

10 for me :) but 1 a striker pop for a defender so don't really count

5 pops, all nice ones so that's good.
2023-08-10 12:06:56
8 pops this week :)

A very good week for me with 12 pops (not including stamina).

After promoting a couple of decent juniors, my squads now too big so I need to sell players.

7 pops on 5 players. 3 part of the plan, the other 4 random.
