21 pop's between 2 great Man united mids, 1 of Fergies early failures selling Gordon a season to early, no way Leeds would have won it otherwise, made up for it the very next season with King Eric

Only 5 today. 2 of them were stamina.

10 pops in training this week. Probably the best I've had for seasons! However, most was random, including 2 stamina. Only the one in the actual trained position!

I also promoted a magical 19 yo keeper. Be interesting to see how well he trains!

5 Pops this week, however all were big pops on trainees so was a really nice week....apart from form which is getting silly now.

Dismal week due to being an idiot and not setting training properly.

Lol. There's always next week!!

I'm just wondering if it's ever worth having more than 11 or 14 players in your team. Unless they get advanced training, they aren't worth training, hence what is the advantage of having more than 11 or 14 players in your team.

I suppose if you're only into winning games and training isn't necessarily your priority, i.e. you play old players (28yo+) then having a big squad is fine. However, if you're only focused on training future talent, why have more than 11/14 players!? You could fill your bench with old players, to cover yourself if players get injured or suspended. Ok, so why more than 14 players then!? ;)

I have 10 players inn advanced training and frankly the rest barely get training imo. I don't think the random pops are as many as they used to be from general training still.

Yeah, that's my point! Unless they're in advanced training then there's no point of really having anyone else. Obviously you need 11 players for the matches and some cover for injuries & suspensions!

I reckon you only need 10 players, all 27 years old or younger (Preferably younger) in AT, then 1 top player to make up your 11. Then another 3 players to fill your bench, so only 14 players required!?

The players I have outside of AT just don't train very well, so they're getting older but their skills aren't improving quickly enough to make them a good investment.

I'm trying to trim my squad down but haven't decided exactly on how many. Hence I started this chat to see what others thought!

To be honest for half the season (while I am in the cup) I use a small squad of say 15 players and then for the remainder once I start friendlies I like crappy fillers to avoid injuries in non trained positions.

I usually have the first 11 and the future first 11 (change of generation). But now, with less friendlies being played and less training I'm starting to see your point Logged_out. Hence I don't even consider getting a player that needs a lot of development.

I used to have a mega tight squad of 16…got ahem…about 33 players atm…about 13 trainees (couple of spares) and a full 16 first teamers plus a couple of spares….

Total age is 15,467
