Onderwerp: Season 62 Alledgedly

It doesn’t really now. The old finances helped that a bit but the change in wages makes older players not worth it as much.

I still have one of the youngest 11 overall in the Prem.

Not true. My 11's (last night) wage bill wass 107,76k, his 11's wage bill: 102,69k (the two strikers: 30k together). My squad's wage bill (25 players): 173,83k (6,95k average). His squad's wage bill (34 players): 157,44k (4,63k average).
I pay 16k more every week to train and develop players, get frustrated at the end of another lost game that I dominate and deserve to win, weaken my first 11 so young players get minutes, probably relegate and get less finances AND for what? So some lazy users get to play in the top leagues (no friendlies whatsoever, by the way) and ruin the game. Nonetheless, the game itself is allowing this to happen. And that sucks!

You can only reach a certain level with that strategy. Get to the top yes but not win trophies.

That surprises me tbh, I still train and try to train well. Your strategy will be the best in the end.......my trainees were all longer term as a strategy and I am reaping the benefits now. At some stage I will probably have to rejig trainees and will be weaker for a while once I do.

PS my players weekly salary is now £307,380.........I wish mine was as low as yours ;)

I just can't believe that 55k a week is paid for nothing in that team. Wages for players that never get to play.

On the other hand, I doubt any wages are wasted on coaches. That'd be a real waste.

Mine was getting to about 250k, hence I decided to it's time to refresh.

Player wages are related to their skills, so a good player whether 21,31 or 41 has same wages.

The game allows a range of strategies - investing in young players, coaches and training is one route. Another route can be to ditch coach costs, and buy the skills in. Many teams operate a hybrid mix to try to balance first team performance and training revenues. I personally used the approach of old players initially to supplement keeper training and since as 1st team as I still don’t have enough money to operate a set of trainees that could survive as a first team in II, and I wanted to get my stadium and fan club to a sustainable base outside of III.

Personally I think it is wrong to say that it’s a parasite approach on teams that operate the pensioner route. The game allows that, and . frankly it’s as much work managing old constantly plopping players as it is managing trainees - arguably more work as you can get trainees in at 17 and sell at 24, getting a 35 year old will give you 3 years ish and constantly declining skills set.

What should happen is supply Vs demand economics should balance it all out. However as there isn’t a sensible mix of new and old team, many exprriemced teams tend to ditch 37-40yos and as such a pool of them end up being sold essentially for £0, which does give the odd setup that a new team can buy players far better in skill than their starting team initially…although with minuscule fan clubs and stadia doing that risks financial death due to player wages.

I agree to win the Prem and/or to sustain yourself in the Prem unless a day trader or a massive bank balance you can’t do that with a team of 30+ yr old players as you will continually be needing to replace and not making enough income.

You must be having a laugh! "it’s as much work managing old constantly plopping players as it is managing trainees" Why do it then?
It is a parasite approach. All you do with the money is buying results/points. Instead of buying young players that eventually will bring money in as well as results and improve the game in the same time. I'm asking again: what would happen if all users will have the same approach? The answer is: the game will die. There'd be no players available. Or, should I say no 'supply'. My main issue is not necessarily with the users taking advantage of the strategy, it's with the game/developers for keeping up the skills for the old players for so long. The only way to save this game is to have users playing it 100% (training as well as tactic) is to make 30+ years players useless quicker. And push managers into training more.
How is U Craiova contributing to the game? He never trained a player. And never will. No friendlies played, no juniors ever played. And yet plays in the Premier. How is this not wrong?

I reckon the optimum age is probably 27-28.

I'm trying to do it that so I have a procession line of reserves that go through to the first team and stay there until older to eventually be replaced by other reserves that comes through.

Yes sorry about that WDP. Needed them for the cup match and I need the younger ones to play to keep the training up. Once I am out of the cup later it won’t happen again.

9-0 win tonight but from 41 shots that’s pretty poor given I think I was the lucky one to face reserves tonight?
