I'm not happy with this result.Up to 70 minutes we played exemplary. This injury to the defender was crucial. The match was winnable.
Next week Spain.I already have an idea.

NT matches have such high ratings of players that it's difficult against the top teams...
To get a result like today was unbelievable and I hope we all get behind you for the next games and show the support you both deserve and have earned.

I’m unsure why you continually keep saying that when all people have done is support? It’s almost agenda driven.
Perhaps its just PTSD remember he has done the job himself recently?!
As a total outsider we do seem to like to get the stakes and pitch forks out for England managers!

I would say that's not been the case for these managers, both have full support imo. Both deserve it too. The previous NT manager for good support apart from by Not his :p
Well I just remember the last three U21 managers at least had problems with the community. I seem to think it might even go back as far as Norwich City Nil !!!
Piotr excepted as he has the respect. Sometimes I would like to prise out of him what he expects players to look like at certain ages as I am still in the dark with that but today at least I have learned Tech is high on his list. All in all he is a top manager though so I am not complaining.
As to England Managers, well we have had some world cup winners and damn close...Qstaw Lorre ....and Aligator is right up there too., you did your bit as did the rock. The previous chap was irish, I seem to think, and I seem to remember he was keen to buy our players and train them up for us so perhaps he would have been good in the long term but he did not work out as he could not deal with a bit of a dissent from one or two managers. That was a shame and has obviously affected Nothis too as noted by your comments - I wonder how he would have faired in our work places where banter and dissenting comments are the day to day thing of passive aggressive people and a very English trait. I am sure he is doing well in Ireland so good luck to him and we all know about the luck of the irish!

The only issue I had with any manager personally was BR in his last season of u21's, that was only for s short period and other that that issue I fully supported him. That is history now though, and should stay there as I feel we have both moved on now. Hopefully as you say we have 2 managers that the community can get behind, support and enjoy them being successful. The communication is good, maybe it could be better with expectation of what players in positions would ideally look like at 20, 21 etc.
Thanks for the information from your side. This week, I'll try to describe my expectations for the appearance of players I currently need for the U21 England team. Honestly, I don't understand why I didn't write it earlier.
No worries Piotr, you probably think we all know these things and probably a lot of us do but not all of us.
Thing is even if you knew in the past, times have changed with the shorter seasons so I'm guessing lower standard are expected (on all U21 sides) as players won't be able to reach the levels of the past.
I think you're right, I would expect there are differences in skill levels now to before. I am sure Miller was 3 x Magical at 21 yrs old as a striker. I bet the current strikers are not close to that. Not his will probably remember better than me what Miller was at 21.
He wasn't triple magical but wasn't far away from it....but prob still a lot higher skills than players of today....
I could try and find out?

Thing is if the players are not as skillful then they will need to sort out watching these matches. I have started to watch them again and cringe at some/most of the play. You need like someone triple magical (including form) just to run near the touchline without running or kicking it out!
The youth matches are really painful to watch too.

I think they have always been cringeworthy but I also think that the level of younger players has dropped :(
Watching the youth games has always been a waste of time. I set a lineup, that's it, that's just for the small amount of revenue it generates. I don't look at where players should go in the lineup.
