Truffs naar Iedereen
Now we have the new training do we still have minimum numbers of orders for example; Am I allowed 2 defs 5 mids and 3 attackers in a match or will I lose training like under the old rules?

you were always allowed to use 2 defs 5 mids and 3 atts

the limit was and still is:

max 5 DEF
max 5 MID
max 3 ATT

Right so the limit is still there then. Thank you.

As I am sure you will have worked out that can have implications for your trainees as it means fewer can learn to shoot than defend.

It is more fair than before though, because you can still train other positions and you are always able to train up to 10 players. Before if you trained striker, you were limited to MAX 6 trainees, while in other skills you were able to train from 10 to 22 players. And limited to 2 if you decided to train goalkeeping.

Hmm. Fair feels a binary thing to me so more fair is still not fair enough and therefore, is still, unfair.

You also made a good point in saying you could train 22 players in pace whereas now it’s 10. This will have an affect on squad type players as you cannot quite train a whole second team but the career of a player is at least twice his training so that ‘s probably ok for stars. What you used to be able to find was fastish players without high primary skills that made good squad players. I guess old players will fulfil that role in 10 seasons time.

Where we may well struggle and may need a tweak to training in the next 10 seasons or so is midfields not being able to train striking or defence unless taking a slot in defence or attack. This encourages mono-skilled midfielders and reduces the games watchability and probably increases fouls, injuries and red cards.

This was the point I had in mind when I asked my original question.

Arguably the mix of what you can train is fairly linked to the mix of what you play, so helps the game hopefully avoid getting too many of one type…and at least now you can train a mix of players…which is what happens IRL, it’s not like Liverpool only train defenders for example…
