He's on the market. That hurts, he's a very very good player but if I can get back in the black I have a chance of building a new squad and maybe retaining my junior school

Do you not think part of the problem with your side is the failure to invest in youth? Your first team is old, very old in fact.

Having an old first team is not a problem as long as you have 10 good level youths who you give 95%+ training every week.

It's actually financially the healthiest way for the team since you manage to train youths & make money on that + you're achieving decent results so you get ticket & sponsors money.

It would be a BAD idea to have a core of 24-29yo players that are not receiving training since the team would actually be losing a lot of worth every season with these players getting older. It would be also much weaker than a team made for the same amount of money but made of 30+ players, so it would achieve worse results.

I don't know his team & players but if other trainees are close to the level of Mark Sterling that he is selling, then I don't really see a problem there. If others are much weaker then he obviously should get rid of them and invest the money from Sterling.

btw. your youths are very underinvested as well and you're definitely not doing a great job of improving your team in the long-term so I don't really get why you came up with such comment about the other guy's team.

borkos, one bad thing about this game is you can't really say what you think about some people. Coz I'd be doing a damn good job if I'd be allowed to.

But let's talk. So you say I'm not doing a good job of improving my team just like he does. In other words I was right about him. So what you "don't really get" then?

I don't really get why you're having a laugh at him ("The guy was doing very well crying") if you're the same case as he is - not improving because you don't invest enough in young players.

btw. it's not about "me saying" that you're not doing a good job of improving, it's about facts.

Your team plays for roughly the same rating (55-58) as it played for 2 seasons ago and 4 seasons ago and 6 seasons ago while it's not made up of young players with potential. If you made a huge amount of money on training during that period then that would be fine, but you didn't.

I care Borkos... 50% of what you say makes sense and helps a small few of us who choose to listen and smile at what you say.... some are bitter and don't see that side of you... but for those who slightly understand....
