What's the actual purpose of the assistants? The rules are vague but I always assumed they boost general training. How is that boost calculated? I assume 3 Average (5) are not equal to 1 Magical (15) etc
2024-02-26 22:56:17
I suspect they do boost training and the game recommends no more than 3 assistants otherwise they will start to argue
2024-02-26 23:06:18
The assistants may be helpful to the main coach improving his training effectiveness - the better the assistant (in terms of general appraisal); the more he helps the main coach. However, do not hire too many assistants. If you hire more than 3, they will argue, resulting in training being less effective, or even lost.

Help how though? Main training? General? Both?
2024-02-26 23:25:01
Both

It was you who kind of worked out a formula for it... I guess I just got lucky

I wasted a lot trying to get an unearthly coach a long while ago. Ended up with a magical who is still my main coach, even aged 108

I'm probably screwing myself by saying this but there is a very good Brilliant coach on the market right now. 6x Unearthly, 1 Magical and terrible keeping to keep his wages down. He's an absolute bargain if you can get him cheap.

Sublevles are definetly present in coaches, the evidence is there.
i.e. an Unearthly general appraisal yet some skills are below Unearthly.

Also with the 'new' % average rating for junior and assistants you can see differing %s for same general appraisal coaches.
Not sure when that came in.

Head Coaches max skill level per skill is capped at 16.00, again the 94% effectiveness indicates that.

Juniors and assistants the max skill is 16.99 presumable that would give a 100% effectiveness. Anyone got one?

You can draw the conclusion:
Unearthly coaches therefore 16-16.99 and are rated 94-100%
Magical coaches 15-15.99 and are rated 87-93%
Brilliant coaches 14-14.99 and are rated 80-86%
and so on

Is an Unearthly worth it, yes if it's a high one imo, not if it's a low one.
Don't think you'll get an Unearthly or Divine youth without a coach Uneartly-ish general appraisal. Although still rare.

One thing that always baffled me, was the race to the bottom :)
Why spend lots and somettimes 100,000's or multi million on a low magical circa 15.0
When you can purchase a high brilliant for £1.

I bought a high brilliant for a £1, he's rated 86%
That'll do until I can afford an unearthly (if ever)

edit: fixed Unearthly spelling x 3 ;)
