RTS +6.88 and Black Mages +6.18 the top performers this week. Anfield -2.18 and Elmstead -2.63 the worst.

I might make a slight change to the formula, just to perfectly balance it.

Right now, each match is basically worth 3 points to be shared between the 2 teams. So the better team might end up with 1.8 and the weaker with 1.2.
That's not true however when it comes to draws, which at the moment are sharing 4 points. I did this because I felt sharing 2 wasn't enough. The obvious solution is 3, just like the win/loss ratio.
It shouldn't change much, most games aren't draws anyway.

Now things are taking shape, you can start to evaluate how everyone is doing.
If the baseline of an even result is 1.5 points per match, you can calculate that after 9 games anyone under 13.5 points is underperforming. By the same metric, anyone with more than 27 points is doing exceptionally well.
With 2 more games to the halfway point, there's still a little more balancing to come.

I'm not 100% certain this is correct, my spreadsheet has been misbehaving. I'll check and confirm later.

Ok now it's perfect. That took way too long to fix but I've now got measures in place to prevent any further mistakes. I've also made the 1.5 draw adjustment.

And here's the grading incase anyone doesn't get it. Anything over 1.5 is considered a positive result, 3 is a very good result and over 4.5 is basically a miracle. Widzew hold the current record with an admittedly lucky 3-0 win over 10-man Elmstead, which got them 5.63 points.

For next season I might change the formula so clubs are fighting over 10 points, just so it gives a nice Marks Out Of 10 rating. It's a little awkward getting to 10 with only 3 variables so the formula might switch to 4-3-3, giving a little more weight towards goals scored.

Update coming later. Basically just given each team an extra 3.5 points per game, so no formula change but teams will now be given marks out of 10. No more minus numbers unless someone breaks the 6.5 barrier, and the highest so far (5.63) is still some way short of that.

So teams effectively start the match with 5 points each

3.5 standard
1.5 for the result

and will lose or gain equal numbers from the opposition.

Team A wins and gains 2 points, ends up with 7.
Team B loses and loses 2 points, ends up with 3.
