That is true, we have had very easy groups and route to the final. I agree with you. I suppose in that sense, we have had lady luck on our side. However, what I was thinking of was more around decisions not going our way (Camus gave some examples). However, maybe I'm being a little negative here and not considered the luck we have had, as you've pointed out. Maybe I have a glass half empty view, rather than half full. Following England over the years has done this to me lol ;)

Come on England. Let's beat Spain in the final and have something to cheer about :)

We will need to play like we did in the first half to succeed and do so for at least 80% of the game. Finals are usually close games, hopefully not won't be a dull game and we won't be as negative as we were against Italy last time we got to the final.

Spain have beaten Italy, the reigning Euro champs. Beaten Germany, the hosts and also knocked out the 2022 WC finalists France too. They've had a much harder path to the final than us! Let's hope they've run out of puff!! Haha.

From what I've seen they run out of puff after 60 minutes once Williams and Lamal have run out of legs.

We had been awful but we seem to be finding our groove a bit, I believe the Holland game will further boost the confidence of the team too.

As much as I'd love to have seen England win, the best side won, so it's slightly easier to take! I'm still massively disappointed, but we didn't lose due to any major referring decisions going against us or any other controversies! We simply lost to the best side in the tournament!

Unlucky England. We did well to get to a final considering how averagely we played throughout the tournament! Hopefully we can learn from this and be much better prepared for the World Cup. Thanks Southgate for your efforts but I think it's time for a change. But who?

They were the better side for sure, but I was genuinely disappointed at how negatively we were set up and played throughout the whole tournament barring the 1st half of the Holland game.

Best England at whole tournament was the England while losing, which HAD to attack.

After getting the goal back - back to being boring and negative as well.

I agree with everything you have said, I stated long ago that his (Southgate) negative setup and tactics cost us the previous Euro final vs Italy. Football has progressed and the fact is that most sides should play to their strengths.....and ours is attacking when we do it. I hope a new progressive manager comes in. Walker needs to go now, defensively brilliant but woeful up top and gave the ball away and forced us to defend. I think its time to give Trent a run as a RB, play a technical side that can keep the bloody ball.

It's ironic that Walker was bought in ahead of Trent because he's positionally more solid, yet Walker being out of position was at fault for both goals.

Exactly that and he also had zero input to any attacks and any crosses he hit were either off the pitch or to the 1st man and then meant we were on the defence via counter attack straight away.
