Maddison is out injured. He strained his hair during the lead up to the tournament, so had to drop out!

It was better. Not great but definitely better. They just need a kick up the arse to actually go and attack.

Mainoo looked a lot better than Gallagher. Palmer looked bright when he came on. It was better than the last game but still well below where it needs to be!

I was only joking. I know he's out. Bollox injured, he's not fitting into Southgate's safe game plan. He hates players that take risks. And that's why you'd rather watch paint dry. I bet he would've never played Gascoigne.

I think Maddison has a hair transplant injury, so he cant play!

We've finished top of the group, so mission accomplished at this point. Yes, unconvincing but job done.

Poland and England have one thing in common and also something that makes us different.

Both teams are hard to watch... but England fans will torture themselves watching it longer ;)

England can still get going during the tournament and will have an easier bracket than Germany, Spain, France and Portugal

It is awful to watch us play, we have a right back who couldn't get into a Newcastle team because he had been awful at left back, he gets the ball and cuts in which is killing our attacking width. Walker isn't attacking well enough on the other side either. Saka looks out of form, Kane looks like most tournaments (injured or rusty). Bellingham was actually woeful last. night. Foden was our best player last night imo. He needs to be central though, or bring Mainoo in and he seems to be better at linking and little one two's.

Yeah, I thought Foden played alright. Mainoo had a positive impact when he came on, as did Palmer. Thought Rice played OK too but overall it was pretty painful viewing. Something simply aint working. I have to look at Southgate and his coaches for not getting it to work. I just feel there is something wrong. The players body language wasn't good. They lacked confidence. In the 2nd half, Bellingham looked really bad. He got moved out to the left?? This is Southgate's 3rd tournament with the NT now +U21 stuff. He has vast experience. He needs to get them playing, He has to make it work. He's in charge and calls the shots (pun unintentional, as we all know we don't have shots haha)!!

Come on England. Come on...

Another thing I am not keen on is Kane being 10 yards outside our area when we are defending, where is the out ball?

Phil Foden has temporarily left the England camp at Euro 2024 and returned to the UK for a pressing family matter, the FA have confirmed.

Southgate was overheard saying that "If I can't have Phil on the left I'm not playing anyone there!"

Moving Bellingham to the left after the „stop using Foden on the left” campaign does seem like a middle finger to be honest

Foden has a family emergency which I hope is not a relative seriously ill but those things usually are unfortunately.

We really need to just play Bellingham deeper, Foden at 10 (if availabl) and play Gordon left or Eze. I’d also genuinely consider Trent at RB and Kyle Walker at LB. the lack of a left footer at LB is a horrendous mistake by Southgate.
