Onderwerp: [NT] Season 70 /struś

I am starting a new thread for this season. In it I will be writing about matters related to the National Team but of course I am also counting on your activity.

Our schedule:

10 out of 13 games are World Cup qualifying matches

The other 3 are intended to provide a little extra competition and entertainment. I think at least 2 opponents should satisfy you :)

We have somehow become a victim of the repeated group draw. A momentary drop in the rankings cost us a seed and unfortunately we found ourselves in the 3rd pot.
The draw itself was not bad and definitely, despite this lower placing, our team's goal should be to advance to the World Cup.

The secondary objective is to raise the ranking by a few places.

I see Forum England Association is dead :(
just like the entire England Association Federation.

Therefore - since I promised a fresh breath of fresh air - I'm getting down to business from scratch.
I am removing all members - especially as two of them are leading our group opponents.
Apologies to Lorre and Antoś - you have a lot of merit.... so I invite you after the qualifications:)

Then I'm left alone there for a while - but hopefully it won't be a long while - I'm happy to welcome contributors and other supportive people. With the unfriendly ones I would prefer to discuss here :)

Honestly I think that the re-draw was a good thing for England, even after dropping to 3rd pot.

France/Hellas are the same, while competing against Norge and New Zealand is much better than USA and Shqiperia, who both had higher ratings than Norge.

One last thing for today

I have been offered a new logo for the England national team today (although it looks just like the official)
It is first and foremost your team so decide yourself which you prefer.

Today I'm going to a family event, so I'll write more later. But I hope the debut did not disappoint you!

Good result. Absolutely dominant first half, more balanced in the 2nd. Only thing I didn't like was the big gaps outside the central defence.

Nice start and good to see the king of goals Miller getting you a Hattrick on your debut. ;)

I was afraid of this match - because New Zealand has a really strong team and can easily make some surprises in the group - if they hit their tactics better.
Anyway, see for yourself - that's the kind of striker every team wants:
Daniel Vlahos , and goalkeeper Sonny-Bill Cooper . And if he's strong at the back and strong up front.... you never know. (By the way, they have some very good field players too - like Jeremy Knight . Quite recently they have played a few games over 75.

Well, but it went well - the first half was a showdown, the second a bit weaker but the result was not threatened for a moment. Glad to see a good start and 0 at the back.
Meanwhile, France beat Norway after a hard-fought battle - 3-2. The clash between the two former English NT coaches showed that we can expect an interesting fight for qualification, and the results will be hard to predict.
So let's get ready - one of the most important matches - against France - is next week!

@Camus - It's hard for me to discuss tactics here, knowing that Antoś is reading....

@wpd74 - Miller was great - he is a key player in my plan :)

@Piotr2901 - Thank you! In your case, unfortunate another red card - if it hadn't been, maybe you could have managed to snatch something against Germany. The most important thing is to be lucky in the next matches :)
