Congratulations Strus that is an amazing result, so far you have warranted the support you got in the election.

It's starting look like an echo chamber, that's for sure.
Well, yes.
I somewhat neglected communication :(
And yet we have just what we have been waiting for and fighting for - the World Cup finals.
The previous 3 friendly matches, all ending in defeats were three different cases:
Poland - a match in which you are never a favourite, and it's also hard to put out all the best ideas and reveal the cards before the World Cup. A fairly easy defeat - although we held on in the first half.
Bulgaria - a team also with much more potential at this point... but a match that ended unluckily - should have been a draw... there was a chance for something more.... ended after a goal in the end from a set piece and a minimal defeat - not a bad game.... just a pity about the ranking
Norway - well - we lost too easily - but in this competition the qualifiers were more important where we were on top. I wouldn't swap it ;)
------------------------------------------------------------
Generally too many of these friendly before matches with serious stakes. It's hard to mobilise and implement new ideas then....
That's why I was looking forward to the match against Denmark. I wanted to get off to a good start... because it sets up the competition later on. You could say that everything worked here... at least in our match. The 7-1 victory exceeded expectations and probably hurt the Danes a bit - but we had reason to be happy.
In fact, we had until it turned out that Finland had tied with Poland, which means that goal balance is unlikely to be very important in this group.
Most of the possible scenarios, require us to have one more win to get out of the group. We have to remember that both teams are theoretically stronger than us. And both will be playing under pressure.
We have the comfort that in the first one, against Poland, we can gain promotion if we win... or wait for the direct match against Finland if we fail. For me, it's a pretty nice starting position to try to make a surprise - because they have to, and that sometimes makes things difficult :)

Certainly in a strong position already. Will be difficult for both Poland and Finland to beat the Danes by that margin.
Depends on whether the Poles or the Fins can get in Adacas head about butter and bacon or not.... ;)
Nothing a shameful to lose from Poland but a shame is to chose bad pitch intentional
We deserved a better result, how we didn't score I'll never know.
With Finland also winning, a win next week is the only way to get to the next stage. Anything else and will be out.

You have no chance, I’ll be making the next tactic drunk as I just started my holiday. Even I don’t know what to expect!

But you are the weakest manager in Finland NT history with Hautsi gone.
After a great start against Denmark came the verification against Poland.
We played courageously, offensively.... and it took a bit of revenge.
Although we definitely did not deserve 0-5.
The first part of the game, I dare say, was our advantage and it's a great pity we didn't manage to score - we deserved it after some very good attacks.
In the second half it was a different game.... pity... maybe if we had been leading at halftime, the right conditional changes would have allowed us to secure a better result....
I'll rectify one more thing. I have been accused of deliberately choosing the wrong pitch. This is not true, yes I wanted to surprise with the pitch, but the choice was made because of the size - I wanted to narrow the game down as much as possible in order to neutralise the Polish winger... and not to put a player in that position myself.
The last match in the group is ahead of us. The rival is Finland and there is no denying it, they are the favourites. For me, this is the match after which it will be possible to say whether the performance at the World Cup will be counted as successful or not.
I will do my best to make a surprise (bearing in mind your hints that Karsten is currently the weakest Finn in the game ;)
