After a great start against Denmark came the verification against Poland.
We played courageously, offensively.... and it took a bit of revenge.
Although we definitely did not deserve 0-5.
The first part of the game, I dare say, was our advantage and it's a great pity we didn't manage to score - we deserved it after some very good attacks.
In the second half it was a different game.... pity... maybe if we had been leading at halftime, the right conditional changes would have allowed us to secure a better result....

I'll rectify one more thing. I have been accused of deliberately choosing the wrong pitch. This is not true, yes I wanted to surprise with the pitch, but the choice was made because of the size - I wanted to narrow the game down as much as possible in order to neutralise the Polish winger... and not to put a player in that position myself.

The last match in the group is ahead of us. The rival is Finland and there is no denying it, they are the favourites. For me, this is the match after which it will be possible to say whether the performance at the World Cup will be counted as successful or not.
I will do my best to make a surprise (bearing in mind your hints that Karsten is currently the weakest Finn in the game ;)

I am disappointed :(
The match was pretty even, so it's not that something happened very unfairly.... Anyone could have won today.
Each side had chances, each wasted a penalty.... on top of that we also hit the crossbar.
However, when we equalised in the end and immediately afterwards Bowyer went sideways uncovered and had 3 strikers in the penalty area, I believed that this was the moment, that it would be a dream 2-1 for us... but unfortunately, despite his high form, unearthly passing and playmaking, he passed inaccurately:(
Immediately afterwards the Finns went with their attack and instead of 2-1 it became 1-2 :(
A great pity.
Seemingly the minimum plan for my 2 seasons with you fulfilled. First promotion, and then, as I promised, at least fight until the very end to advance from the group.... And so it was. we only fell in 88' of the last match... but still we lost, so I am angry, disappointed and have a sense of unfulfillment. The fact that the rivals were stronger does not comfort me at all.
Now it remains to play out the season, on the one hand looking at the rankings, on the other watching what will happen in the unofficial European championship.

I mean, yes. He did use a crappy narrow pitch, and there may have been injuries, I forget.

No injuries (one our), but sviktorov lost his match against another football powerhouse on a similar pitch and was looking for excuses on every forum ;)

I didn't know NT managers could even select what stadium they want to use. I don't remember that from when I was in the game the first time.

And this is a reminder that I should maybe widen my pitch. I made it as small as possible when I was wingless but I'm done with that formation.

I wanted to play on the smallest possible pitch - I found one with minimal dimensions - I didn't even pay attention to the quality of the turf, it was all about the size - it was supposed to neutralise the Polish winger.

In another match Bulgaria lost to Saudi Arabia - there the manager of Arabia purposely set up the stadium with the lowest quality turf - to make the better Bulgarians the ball bouncing on the verges, more randomness in the game. And it worked. sviktorov was furious and started telling everyone that it was unfair, immoral etc.
Well not everyone knows how to accept defeat with dignity ;)

no... i respected you of your reputation (if you had one) but don't disrespect a user that has done so much for this game and a lot of other people playing this game.

he may have taken his result badly as we all do.... me and you both today are in the same boat.. but apologise if you have been a d!ck... let me know if i need to use translate again, but having Polish friends i believe it to be crap
