I was going to post this in the England Association but no-one is in there.

I've been busy.
So, what we have here is every single player 21 and under produced by the 60 or so active clubs in England, all 457 of them. (Not including youths pulled this morning). I have the U-24's but that's not finished yet.

Database

Red have a value under 100k and won't be looked at until they hit that target
Green are 100k+ players that have had their rating assessed (I can't see skills so I'm limited in that regard)
Gold are currently in the U-21 squad

Of those 457, 315 are currently not at the basic standard required. That's a little low, but there are certainly players coming through and we should see that when I update this at the start of next season, when it will include all the new youths coming.

On my first impressions, I was surprised the gold (England U21 players) are formed by all the highest rated players. I guess they don't meet the required pace levels but score high ratings still. I'm sure there are other factors too.

Some players on these lists have a higher value only because one skill is trained very highly compared to the others.

Yeah, I guessed it would be something like that. They don't have the all-round skills required to get into the squad or indeed team!

Since you can see their skills, you can show their positional sumskill.

Or just add Camus as your scout (or whatever you call that) and send him skills so he can create such database [possibly with different multipliers, like for defenders 1.5x defender & pace, 1x tech pm passing etc]

The screenshots don't quite show the full picture, because obviously I can only fit so much into a capture. The full list is on the database download.

I think a good idea might be to put together squads for U-20 down to U-18, just so we have these players ID'd for training long before we need them. I don't expect Piotr to do that though, it's a lot of work.

What this has shown me though is just how useless Gestons database is. So many players on it are either massively out of date or missing entirely. Unfortunately that's a consequence of only updating twice a week and being reliant on transfers.

I will help as much as I can, but lately I haven't had time for anything. That's why I decided that this will be my last season as the England U21 coach. I would focus on the new age group that will participate in the qualifiers and the World Cup.

If there is someone interested in maintaining such a player database, I can send the current data as much as possible.

I assume there's no official scouting position in this game that would let me see players?

Let's agree to start working on this after the weekend. You will send me a few players each day, and I will copy their skills for you. It would be great if you could include a link to each player, so I don't waste time searching for them.

Another very interesting defensive prospect. Maybe not quite as good as George Sidwell but if I had the money I'd buy both of them.
