Right, transfers for Monday 26th. There's 15 of them and most are rubbish but there are a couple worth looking at.

Right away you'll see that Moss Green (17, Winger) is the only player above the line.

Peter Forson (17, Defender) is a little behind but he's young enough to maybe catch up.

There really isn't a lot else worth looking at. Chris Raleigh (16, Striker) maybe if he was talented but this late in the season, there are surely better options.

7 players, only 2 worth looking at.
Kobbie Cantona (17, defender) is behind the curve but certainly not useless.
The player who should be getting the attention though is Nobby Wheeler (17, GK) who is a perfect "set and forget" keeper trainee. If you've got a training spot free and a decent enough coach, train him in keeping, play him every game and (talent depending) he'll be Divine in just over 4 seasons.

Thursday 29th

No question about the one to watch here. Frazer Kay (19, Winger) will likely be our U-21 winger in 2 seasons time, but he badly needs Tech and Passing or he's at risk of being wasted.

Got Nobby Wheeler. Just need Kay next.

Wheeler won't be divine in 4 seasons, I can say that. He needs so much training. I only had 1 keeper, so I thought I'd bring him in. Hopefully I'll be able to give him some level of training and get him to a decent level still :)

Adequate Keeper, 11 pops required to get to Divine. I know talent slows down the higher you get but that's still only 3 a season.
As for Kay, I think you're going to have some competition for that one. There were 17 people watching him when I looked earlier.

Oh yeah, I've got a lot of competition for him but I'll give it a go! Hopefully no one logs in tomorrow ;)

I'm looking forward to Friday when I can use this thread for a full overview of this weeks youths.

Keepers improve fast and its only 1 skill.... any 17 yo gk with some gk and talent can be divine in 4 season

But I wouldn't train him GK only for 4 seasons. His pace, passing and tech aren't good enough. He wouldn't be that impressive is he was a 21 yo divine keeper with good pace etc imo!

Tech? For a Keeper?
General training will take care of his Pace and Passing. That's why I called him Set & Forget, because you don't have to worry about changing his training around.

I always like my players to have a certain level of tech, even my keepers.

When I bought Dawes from BR, he was also 17 but had a very good keeper level. He was a better player and he's now unearthly (21 yo) with soon to be outstanding pace (not high enough)!

Technique is used only for dribbling and receiving a pass, two things goalkeepers don't do for 99.9% of the games (dribbling never, receiving a pass maybe once in career?)

It's all about goalkeeper, then pace. Passing if you want to make him look fancy after you finish the others.

No transfers for Friday, so day off. I expect Saturday to be very busy.

Frazer is up in 1 hour

30 minutes later and it's still going. I still think he's going cheap in comparison to similar players.

That might be a bargain considering the talent graphs the seller put up. Similar players have been selling for 2.6m up.
