yeah...ditto about friendlies for new USA teams. Send me a mail. I may get a qeue going and take a bit to get to you...but...GAME ON! (lol)

and use the forums lots of good info, and people to bounce questions off of...except those of us who prefer something completely different...like naval lint...or llamas. :)

Well guys, I just lost my first match in Sokker (2nd overall match played) and it stung. I lost it to the league champion Wild Kick even though my team completely outplayed, outhustled, and outshot them.

I had the better chances but my guys just could NOT finish. My captain Barda even missed a penalty in the last minute (ouch!).

Anyways, even though I lost, I was really encouraged by the level of play displayed by my boys.

Tough loss, and 2 weeks to stew about it. :(

I think with a little boost in form and stamina they'll finish off their chances. I also noticed my center back was a black hole back there, absolutely terrible. He caused the conceded goal.

Tough loss mate, especially with the penalty in the last minute to tie it up.

I'd suggest for the next couple weeks while you wait around bored for the next season, start making some tactics to play in your matches.

I've seen many games won by tactics.

My best advice I can give you for tactics is two things:
1. draw it out in paint first and put little lines coming out of the dots (players) for where u want each player to run and cover. I found this was very helpful and it also really helped me see which players were better where (lower pace players go to the dots that don't have to be very fast, etc). It also helped because I could see where I would need to place my best players and where they would affect the game the most.

2. There is no perfect tactic you can find and use, the best tactic really depends on the skill level of your players.

Anyways, good luck mate

Just a general question, I realize it's not a good idea to expand your stadium in the beginning, but when is a good time to build and what kind of seats are best to build?
2010-07-13 05:29:43
you need to expand once your stadium starts to fill up every game

Like right now I'm drawing crowds of 9000 in my 9000 stadium, so it's time to expand

As for seating, I believe there is something online that tells u the exact number of all kinds of seats u want

As in everything, Mr. Llama is wrong. Don't worry about your stadium until after you have a full complement of decent trainees. You make way more in training income than selling a few seats in a C league or B league game.

Do you have a mentor that has looked over your roster?
2010-07-13 14:45:46
Nobody has looked over my players yet.

Thanks for the help guys.
2010-07-13 20:22:51
Well his stadium isn't gonna be filling in the first couple weeks

I figured it was obvious to get all your recruits first! He's a smart enough man he knows that

As for that seating thing I only found one for hattrick so I'm not quite sure how to properly expand perfectly in this game.

btw, my players want your players autographs in our upcoming game

·Expectations: Totally outclassed here. Even your stars will be happy to get an opponent players autograph.

There isn't one, if your selling out all your games, expand your stadium.

Make sure you've looked at this table real good before you expand, it's from the basic prices and costs section of the rules:

Tickets` prices (rounded)

Stand along line behind goal
Standing places 2.00 $ 2.00 $
Standing places under roof 2.00 $ 2.00 $
Terraces 4.00 $ 4.00 $
Terraces under roof 5.00 $ 5.00 $
Benches 6.25 $ 6.25 $
Benches under roof 7.50 $ 6.25 $
Seats 7.50 $ 6.25 $
Seats under roof 8.75 $ 7.50 $

If you're willing to sit down with a calculator and strategize a bit you can work out your own plan.
2010-07-17 18:19:08
1) Seats on the sidelines
2) Benches on the ends.
3) Don't bother with a roof - it takes too long to pay for itself.

My opinion.
