Decent win 3-1, but some flaws are clear. Malaysia played a little wider than expected and two of their crosses troubled out central defense. One went in the other Jackson made a big save on. Also, or strikers just cannot seem to pull the trigger. Hanes had a couple opportunities early and could not get the shot off, and then it was compounded by the fact he took a slight injury in the first half and was pretty ineffective after that. Fortunately Holt (probably MoTM) and Gould were able to hook up on two crosses/header goals. Our winger Whitsitt was ineffective for the most part, but Holt's crosses from the other side were key.

Mace came on late and added an insurance goal. I am happy with the win, but concerned about our defense and its lack of pace. Colings took an injury, it is short, but he is in doubt for next week's match.

Pretty fair analysis of the match there

I thought the score was fair and honestly our defense didn't have much trouble covering that outside winger for the most part, I'm more concerned about the central defense pace and how they dealt with the crosses.

Also, I'd like to give Whitsitt more credit than that. He was quite effective out on that wing pushing the ball further into their half and getting a lot of crosses off. The only problem was his passing needs to be improved or something before he simply wasn't getting the ball to the right spots. The positioning for him was perfect, just wish we had Hale to put there :(

Yes, Whitsitt deserves more credit. I just spoke to him and he says it is all the coach's fault...

Anyway, I'm training passing now so he should get better. He is formidable now.

Yes blame the coach, he was just out crossed by a midfielder (yes I am biased Holt is mine). Glad you are training passing, Whitsitt is a nice player.
