All, if you have 19 and 20 year old players that are not in the NT Database or haven't been updated in a while, please add or update them for me. We need to start looking ahead for the World Cup, and I need to know what we have to work with. Thanks.

I'm training Tech, then Pace, then Striker.

why are our standards for defenders so low? I feel like my defender trainees are so far ahead of our standards it is ridiculous. Too bad they are all foreign. What is the typical defender on the u21 team look like that starts?

Keep in mind we are talking minimums here, and that would include 18 year olds.

Here is one of our current starters a 21 year old:

solid Stamina tragic Keeper
formidable Pace outstanding Defender

Here is a 19 yo that will probably play some next year

adequate Stamina tragic Keeper
excellent Pace incredible Defender
good Technique solid Playmaker

He is not close to being our best 19 yo even at that.

So you can see the minimums mean little, but it is a good start to get guys entered into the database.

Ok, That makes much more sense. Still not amazing for 21, but I would love to be training the 18 yr old.

That's the rub my friend, we are not the most talent nation at developing players. We have 300 active users, some of which neglect or do not get the junior system and others that do not use it.

Compare it to the team that just beat us in a friendly, Estonia, they have twice as many users, so twice as many chances to get better players. Then look at countries that have over 2000 users. So it is much easier to get trainees from other countries better than we have on our U21, so while it is not amazing on the whole, it is what we have to work with. By the way that non-amazing 21 yo is on my team, quite happy to have him, but only recently is he playing in games that matter and only because I have a defender in tragic form.

Factor it all in, hard to raise the bar.

Passing is on the agenda. Of course he thought it would be a great idea to get a red card last week.
