Hey guys, hope you remember me from last season's elections.I'm gonna try my luck once again and hope that this time I'll get a few more votes than last time when I finished second.I guess my chances are slim after fla did a nice job this season by qualifying the team for the World Cup.Still I decided to enter the elections just to show you that I'm not one of those managers that each season try with different national teams.I hope that if you see that I'm serious enough some day you'll give me the opportunity to lead the team.Until then I've got nothing else to do but keep trying.That's it from me guys, I hope that I'll get some support at least for my stubbornness :))

Just wanted to let you know that I decided to take your advice and run for the big NT and also thank you for the support guys.I really hope I'll do a good job if you decide to choose me.I'll start forming my scout team from now so I can share it here before the end of the elections.If you have any other advice I'd be very grateful if you share it here.Also all kinds of questions are welcome.

Mario, please explain why you should be elected on the NT level over a USA based manager. As you can tell Llama has his supporters and his detractors, what are you bringing to us? Thanks.

Well, to answer your first question I think that a USA based manager will have to put in way less effort in his performance with the NT to keep the USA users satisfied with his work.While on the other hand, a foreign manager always has to be in top form in order to do the same.That means that foreign managers will always try to do the best they can and the USA NT can only benefit from that.USA based managers will just rely on their reputation in the local community so even not so good performances could be passed by without a word.However if a foreign manager has a bad match there will surely be a lot of comments after it.Actually I believe that exactly those comments, supported with facts of course, can make USA's tactics as good as they can be.

The main difference is that if an USA based manager becomes NT coach at least the USA users can be sure that the manager won't cause any trouble (like quitting in mid-season, losing matches without paying attention to them, etc.).In a couple of weeks I'll be turning 5 years in the game, I've been a linguist, moderator and currently am an administrator.That can prove that I take the game seriously enough and also by entering the elections for a second time in a row in the USA I hope that I've also proved my desire to lead exactly this team.So not being from the USA should not be considered a disadvantage in my opinion.

Also I believe that experience is something very important in this game especially when managing national teams.I'm not sure about Llama but I do think that he hasn't managed a national team yet (I apologize if I'm wrong).I have managed Bulgaria U21 NT for 3 seasons I think and have been a scout for ages (probably above 10 seasons).I've experimented with a lot of tactics and they are ready to use so I don't have to experiment with the national team, which I believe is unacceptable.

Another reason why you might choose me over Llama is again connected with experience.I'm sorry if it sounds disrespectful but it's not normal to stay in such a low division for so long.That may speak about Llama's desire to promote and not about his qualities but still I'm not sure all of you would want to take this risk.His main disadvantage is caused exactly by the weak opponents he's facing.He hasn't had serious matches for ages and his tactics are probably not adapted to playing against stronger opponents.For the USA NT you first have to qualify the team for the world cup and being in second pot at the moment you'll have to face a team from first pot which is expected to be better.Then if you do qualify the team (which is a must in my opinion) you'd have to face 3 equally strong or better opponents.How can you win such matches if you haven't faced a stronger team than yours for seasons?

And just to say again - the only purpose of this comment is to point out the reasons why you might choose me over a USA based manager.If it sounds disrespectful towards Llama I apologize in advance.

I'm not here to make any remarks for myself (I have my own thread for that) or against you, I would just like to point out if I failed at coaching the NT it would NOT fly with the USA managers lol. I would probably get more comments than anybody else in this game.

Perhaps you in particular, but in "general" I agree with Mario's assessment.

As a population - and I've noticed this in several sports MMO's like this - American players tend to be very anti-foreign manager of their national teams.

i dont think so. We had phil and he got us to the world cup final (losing only to poland) and did an amazing job. I think that route has been done for the USA as well as possible, and to be honest, people didnt seem that into it. Phil seemed not to happy about the lack of interest from the US community. Át least if it is a regular poster from the US people are a bit more connected. Just my two cents...

It's normal to be anti-foreign managers, in Bulgaria it's the same.That is caused purely by the lack of trust to foreigners.Still I hope that until now I've shown I'm serious enough to give me the opportunity to lead the team at least for one season.

And there's something I'd like to note - at the moment there's no Bulgarian manager to lead the Bulgaria U21 national team but I still decided to candidate here instead of choosing an easy win there.I hope that this will prove my strong desire to manage exactly USA's national team.

that is a strange decision as you describe it

If I manage my own country's national team the situation will be the same as I described in my previous post.I'll be cheered by all Bulgarian users no matter how the team performs.I have the desire to prove myself as a manger and I want to do it exactly here.I'll give everything I've got and if the users here are satisfied with my work at least I'd know that I'm doing it well.

Don't you think that a new manager not so well known is a good way to bring some fresh blood?Users here would use the same things that previous USA-based NT coaches used.On the other hand I'm gonna use methods to hold user's attention that I've tried in Bulgaria and have been successful.Some of them have probably been used here but others haven't.I hope that you'll agree that this could be a good way to bring some more attention on the national team's performance.Also probably users will follow my performance with the NT as close as possible just to point out some of my mistakes but that will still hold their attention and that's still a win.
