A tie would be meh but still leave us ahead of them.

A loss would blow and leave us a lot of work to do in future games.

3 point lead, you cannot afford any slip ups other than Belgium (assuming he will beat USA and Moldova too).

yeah despite hitting the posts 5 (including in the 90th minute) times AND missing a PK, at least dimaria played a good game and we were still able to pull out the tie.

I kinda wish my winger setup would have produced more though...it did so well but we just couldn't finish anything or win a ball in the box.

holy shit! What a game I could write soooo much, but I won't :) Man we were dominating early but they were dominating in the end. I mean we could have won 5-0 as easy as we could have lost 4-1. Presley gave some great passes but the headers were just not popping in net!
Both goalies (especially Gonka, played really well for the most part.
That missed pk def gave the goalie a bloody nose!

Yeah we started out really well but as the fatigue set in, their offense really picked it up and was able to produce a lot of chances.

both coaches misjudged what the other would do. I guessed he would have 4 def but I played for a winger. He played for no winger and took advantage of our spread out defense.

I don't think an attacking mid with a winger is as productive as a winger alone. I would of preferred another def mid. I can see why you played what you did if you were expecting a winger and 5 man back line. Just not what I would of done, easy to say in hindsight.

also I would of gone with Presley taking the corners and Wingert the throw in's instead of vice versa.

And, I would not use all 3 subs unless trailing. What if our keeper was to get injured after the 3rd sub? LOSE

Not a bad tactic, Just not what I would of done.

No doubt- they produced a lot of chances late especially their one forward on the right side, he was impressive but our goalie made an amazing switch for a save there when they had one of the sweetest passes I've seen. More a good decision that great pass I guess.
@Dagwood- Presley was sweet! The team was a monster in first half could have got 3 or 4 goals had the headers been shot slightly lower.
