Onderwerp: I might as well just quit this game
For a free game, the ME is the best out there imo (UM isnt bad, but the tackling and actions are glitchy and long)
ultimatemanager is still technically in beta, the match engine and tactic system will be further developed and improved. at least there defenders dont just kick the ball out of bounds haha
says the guy who actually considered playing taller defs and sacrificing secondaries against poland
i should clarify, not my defenders, but most crappy teams like yours. then i throw it in to my divine passing wing who crosses it onto my divine striking forwards head on the 6 yard box and i win

Until my 192cm defender heads it away every damn time

oh llama, always so naive. as i explained in the other thread, from personal experience using a 154cm forward in my system for 3 seasons, i saw no significant difference and hand no problems executing that gameplan
correction 158cm

it's very possible the header goals came when your 154cm matched up against other tiny defenders.
154 cm = 5 feet
192 cm = 6 feet 3 inches
I can see a 5 foot man jumping over a 5' 7" guy plausible, but you aint winning a header without a ladder against 192cm

Obviously you do not watch real games... I saw it yesterday in the champions league. 5'9 out-heading 6'7 (and before you wise crack this is a game, and these are not real players, so I expect even better jumping from a 5' player than in reality)
6'7-5'9 = 10 inches
6'3-5'0 = 15 inches
and since this is a game I expect it to actually be opposite and have worse chances for a header since they probably just calculate it with height and there is no "jump" ability of any player. In real life I have outheaded guys much taller than me but it was simply because I got a really good jump and had good timing. This game just does formulas with height

all you are doing is just wildly asserting things about formulas you know nothing about, when i have personal experience of using a short forward and im telling you i saw no difference in his heading performance, and headers are how i score the majority of my goals
and besides, very often heading goals are uncontested, as defenders are slow to react to crosses and dont make it in time to defend the cross in air

This statement is 100% valid and I believe it is where a majority of your header goals came from.
In this ME it seems there is really no running header of any sort and many times if they cannot setup for a header when it is just leaving the kickers foot, it will be an uncontested header/not a header at all.
I have watched so many games where the ball is crossed to a defender/striker waiting for a header and the ball somehow ends up on the ground for a shot/clear. If only they would put a head on it :(
I think this is also the reason that passing is so crucial in this game (for your crosses). If it's not spot on, he isn't going to use his head.

lrn2train playmaking
Haven't trained it since B league
My 2 cents on the header argument is passing is more important than striker/defender height difference.
Thats having played slammy, scoring and giving up headers.
lLama stop acting like you have watched more matches, you have to consider than some people enjoy this game as much as you and watch as many games as you.
