Onderwerp: U21 - Future

Guys-

It is my intention not to re-run for the U21. I am starting a new job in a couple of weeks and I cannot be sure that I can give the squad the time it needs.

Over the past couple of seasons the U21 has moved up from as low as 46 to where we sit today at 37, the highest it has been in ages (and closer to breaking into pot 2 for more favorable draws), and we now have moved only 2 spots below where our NT sits (after being 20 plus spots behind them when I took over). We are not going to be in the cup next season, so the new manager will need to set a challenging friendly schedule to continue to build that ranking.

That said, if we do not get a qualified USA based owner (or someone who has been involved like mario.t) step up and run, I will re-run and do my best, but it is not my preference. Thank you for all your support.

We need to restart the "Future Stars" program. there's a reason why most of our better NT are very old. We stopped tracking and favoring future stars. The U-21 NT coach position is a good spot to start nurturing future stars for the main NT. Commitments and sacrifices is what we need to build a strong NT.

I will always be willing to help any NT coach at any level.

I am happy to train any ridiculously good U21 Mid. I can't seem to pull my own candidates, unfortunately.

If you really want to help try training a good mid ridiculously.

i went about trying to buy U21 US defenders last time i bought trainees. got a few. plan to train the crap out of them for several seasons... get the to supdivn X2... thats the plan anyway...

please do. We need defenders

I'm always ready to train a good striker too.I never sell them before 24-25 if they're talented so they are pretty much ready for NT at that age.

Big moves up for us in the U21 side. Seems like the national rankings are slipping on the full NT side. I can't say it is 100% of the manager's fault as the training of our own players seems to be clearly behind other nations. That said there is no reason we should not be top 32 on the NT level still, and the U21 will surely be there soon as long as my replacement is committed.

one quick note

if you are training defenders or have a good USA defender can you please go update it in the national database? We can barely put up 5x 17/17's a game and trying to get them all in good form is near impossible

i'm training a couple guys for you... but they are 4-5 seasons away.
