U.S.A. [del] naar Iedereen
With the transfer week coming soon, I started to ask myself when is it best to sell my guys? I have played this game for quite a while and I still don't know the answer. Should you buy before bonuses or at bonus time when a ton of players are up for sale (and if so, which day would be best price-wise?).

I know that the ideal time to sell is around noon (our time) on Saturday and possibly Sunday but should we sell now so that we have the money by bonus time with the transfer market loaded?

This is obviously important because I'm planning on selling some of my best young players since I need the money. Anyone know selling/buying advice if there are any & how much should my star bring?

Leonard Blatt, age: 20
club: U.S.A., country: Deutschland,
value: 494 000 $, wage: 4 200 $,
superdivine form, solid tactical discipline,
height: 187 cm
bookings:
formidable stamina unsatisfactory keeper
excellent pace average defender
formidable technique excellent playmaker
good passing outstanding striker

From what I know, Buy in the last few weeks of the season, sell at the beginning of a new season.

As for dealing with bonuses, I'm not quite sure at all. I know the market is kind of flooded at bonus time so I feel like selling maybe a week or two after bonuses would be good because there are still a lot of people that have their bonuses but didn't spend them immediately.

Selling week 2 has always been my plan. Listing for a Sunday morning(US Central) targets the middle European crowd Sunday afternoon. Allows any Saturday shoppers to see the player, and general is a time when people have money. You have the added bonus of the people who have received income in weeks 0 and 1, who might now be interested.

There was a chart at one time that track Manager online status's, and it said 2pm on Saturday afternoon in Poland was the highest traffic time on the site, iirc.

Good Luck.

I'd also say that player would fetch you $2-3 million. Although, i'd say on the lower side of that.

you think that much?

Idk, maybe 2 mill...maybe...you have to remember he's 21 though in a couple weeks which isn't that great

Yeah, I agree with you - he's worth around 2m

I was curious as to why we dont have a USA transfer forum and a valuation page.

USA transfer should track American players that are being sold, those who we track are those who could have the potential to be on the NT one day.

Valuation page is for good players and how much you'd expect to bring. In all honesty, I'm clueless as to how much this guy can bring me if i sell him. I'd think anywhere from 2-7 million is my guess.

Chiquinho Maria Gnoiński, age: 21
club: U.S.A., country: Polska,
value: 699 750 $, wage: 5 450 $,
superdivine form, incredible tactical discipline,
height: 181 cm
bookings:
formidable stamina unsatisfactory keeper
incredible pace adequate defender
formidable technique excellent playmaker
average passing brilliant striker

somebody offered me 4m for him, same age, but taller:

good stamina, tragic keeper
incredible pace, adequate defender
formidable technique, very good playmaker
weak passing, unearthly striker

I think he's worth more, at least 5, if I wanted to sell, I'd guess yours is in the 4-5 range.

I bought a striker at brilliant pace, outstanding tech, incredible striker (and about the same secondaries, just a little bit better) for 4.2 mill. He was 21 going to be 22.

So I'd say your guy is pretty close to that

The one extra primary pop and the height will make some small difference, also if I was buying I'd be willing to pay more since striker is almost finished as that can be a pain to set up training for.

But it wouldn't be a whole lot more.
2012-01-26 01:24:37
true, but my secondaries were slightly better.

And is striker really a pain to setup training for? I found it to be super easy. Technique is the real pain in my opinion

It was hard for me because I had to play my league games with only trainees as strikers, and I had to play with 3 players with ATT orders, which really does not suit anything I normally try to do tactically.

Then there was selling all the trainees I was working on who wouldn't benefit from that training, and I had to go with just 6 trainees. Lots of tough choices to make that I didn't really want to.

It might be easier or harder depending on your situation but I always assumed it was inconvenient for everybody since it was for me.

I guess it just worked well for my situation. I played a 4-3-3 in a league that I knew I should win and needed to increase my GD to make sure I autopromoted.

As for playing trainees, 2/3 of my starters were NT strikers who need striker so I didn't really feel any effect of having to play with crappy trainees.

Mine were young, I didn't have your finances. ;)

sometimes I forget everyone doesn't have spare cash.

like when USA was asking about selling when bonuses come out I was like "why would that make a difference?!" lol

Well since Blatt posted a 64 rating, I think I will sell him this Saturday. With all that spare cash of yours, feel free to buy him :)
