Lakay [del] naar Iedereen
Have you guys noticed the changes. I'm still looking into the Additional tactic option.
2012-02-05 14:56:08
Are there other changes?
2012-02-05 15:55:02
How many minutes before recall.

There's a recall option on the listed players but I don't have it figured out yet.

The most important change of course though (especially for NT) is the tactic swap option.

FINALLY

It will definitely be very nice to be able to use this option when playing against stronger opponents.Though it will also help weaker teams against us but that shouldn't be a problem.

Well they are changes, but to few and they failed to address some of the major issues that are causing players to leave Sokker. I know I find myself spending more and more of my limited freetime at UM these days. Still new to it but looks like it is the direct competator to Sokker in game content. Or to put it another way, my Chevy is a good car but the new Ford next door is sure looking better and better these days!

There is a big change coming in a few months that is going to be reallllyyy cool in my opinion.

Feel free to pm me with the major issues you want to leave sokker and I'll bring them up in the mod forum and see if we can find a way to better your experience

Yep, the next change will be awesome :)

sure, the 3D visor XD

Yep, the next change will be awesome :)

Yes and it is months away, and probably too late for a lot of quality members who are already fed up. Ok so now you and llama have both oversold it, if it is anything but perfect we will see a huge exit to UM.

I have posted my concerns in the International forum in the past. The issue with Sokker is that it is not changing. UM "appears" to have taken a lot of the issues people complained about Sokker in the past and incorporated them into their game. Looks more modern, plays better, more options, more actual tatics to put into play, division reorg to put humans -v humans each season instead of keeping "bots" in upper divisions season after season small things that do matter to players and do promote a better game overall, many I wouldn't think would require major softwhare overhauls that cost time and money.

Change is good and these steps will help, however I don't see how they help to promote Sokker to new players which mgmt games need to keep bringing in. FYI, I give Sokker an overall grade of B to B- overall.

Also note I do understasnd how even little changes can effect a game and that many things need to be considered before making a change, so in that regard I'm glad to see the changes that have been made and hope that it helps make this game better. Sokker has a ton of potential, I would hate to see it fail.

one change I do plan on trying to pass through is getting rid of the bots in the upper division. I agree that really affects the game in a bad way.

As for these changes, I think they definitely take a step in the right direction. Adding more conditional orders has always been something I wanted as well as having a change of tactics mid match and now we have those changes.

There is still a lot left to address but this has been the first really positive step in a while. Plus the next big change in a few months will really have a nice effect and should keep you guys around

I agree and hope so. I'm wondering how the changes on the xfer market are going to work out. Doesn't seem to be getting much press as the other changes. Seems like there should be some kind of hidden factor added into the match engine for teams [or players] for being with a team for longer periods.

Probably to much of a pain in the bum to ever do, but direct trades between teams would be pretty cool. However I'm sure cheating would never let ths work.

You say the xfer market isn't getting much press and then say something about the match engine so I'm a little confused what you are talking about.

In terms of selling, I am glad they lowered the price to list a player. It was a little too much in my opinion and made it so selling at $1 is the norm. In my opinion I think they should increase the % they get at the end and just get rid of having a list fee. This way you can list players at whatever price you want AND it will definitely help people get an idea of what their players are worth. It's very hard to figure out what your player is worth and being able to see other similar players and their list pricings would help that a lot.

I also think if you have a player for longer, you should get a higher % of the selling fee. But I'm not too big on that change.

In terms of a hidden factor with the ME, I agree that having players on your team longer should have some effect. There should simply be a hidden teamwork factor that goes up the longer a players plays with your team and the more they play with the same players. I don't think this should be a huge change at all to where it would really ruin any games but I think it'd be a cool addition. That being said, it's not really made for this ME so I wouldnt force it.

There is a teamwork rating, it's visible on the player page as tactical discipline (teamwork + experience) just mouse over the skill rating for tactical discipline, or am I missing something?

I agree with a lot of what you guys have said about UM, all those little things add up.

The thing I like the most is the increased training speed, there's more instant gratification in molding players. When you get a great 18yr old in Sokker you need to wait like 2 freaking calendar years before he turns into a high level player.

Their match engine is not as refined but I like how the players don't fail as much. To be honest I think the play in UM is a little too perfect, you rarely see misplaced passes and the finishing is clinical even with mediocre skill players. It's like the anti-sokker ME.
2012-02-06 08:37:42
tactical discipline varies too much in my opinion to be teamwork + experience. That seems like a constant but tactical disc is all over the place.

And yea...misplaced passes and horrible finishing (except for their team) definitely sums up the sokker ME
